The WWPS administration and staff have been working over the summer to develop protocols for the return of students and staff for the 2020/2021 and beyond. The protocols were based on guidance from NDE, the local health department, and other educational partners. These protocols were passed by the WWPS Board of Education on July 20, 2020. The plan has been revised as needed to address the current situation and/or current knowledge of COVID-19.
The protocols have 5 levels of risk that correspond to increasing restrictions on the school in order to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. These levels are:

GREEN – Low risk (100% in school attendance)
TARGETED YELLOW – Moderate Risk among certain populations (100% in school attendance)
YELLOW – Moderate risk (100% in school attendance)
ORANGE – Moderate to high risk (50% in school attendance)
RED – High risk (No students in the building – all remote learning)

The status of the school is listed at the top of the school’s COVID-19 page and at the top of our Facebook and Twitter accounts.
