Day 2 Macaw, Admin Dash, and Gemini practical discussions.

More time for workshop needed, but understand that this was unavoidable for the current workshop.

The digitization and metadata overview helped me to understand the underlying structure of data in BHL.

The days were too unbalanced. The length of the first day was draining, perhaps could have been spread more evenly over the two days.

I would have liked to have had Gemini logins coming into training to be able to experiment with it inside of a workshop setting to be able to ask questions directly.

Going over some of the backend tools to BHL, like Gemini and Macaw, was incredibly helpful and answered questions that were popping up.

I think the training would have been more easy to digest if it was held over 3 days rather than 2, although I know logistically this probably wasn't possible. I also think this would have been better to have closer to the NDSR start date, ie. the second week in January, so we could have gotten immediate hands-on demos with the software, met each other and the residents, etc., although this probably also wasn't possible logistically.

I especially enjoyed Bianca's presentations on metadata and collection development. I also found the discussion on BHL v2 and the clarifications on the project goals and deliverables very helpful.

Host it earlier! I would have found this information very useful much earlier in the process.

It was really helpful to meet everyone! I thought the length was good too. Even though it was jam packed, everything makes sense together and each presentation made the others clearer.

Expectations for BHL 2! Grace's ways of linking her work to BHL strategic goals were really inspiring, getting the chance to understand why systems and workflows developed into what they are, getting a sense for the culture around BHL
