This document highlights the actions taken by art/cultural/heritage entities with regards to the Black Lives Matter movement. The aim of this document is to demand action from these organisations beyond performative statements of solidarity. We are tracking how these entities will push to create anti-racist spaces internally and as public-reaching organisations. If you are passionate about this cause you should email these institutions using the above templates and demand action.

8Chisenhale GalleryGalleryNO YESYES. Unconcious bias-training, full workforce transparency, "researching how we spend our money ethically on everything from office supplies to external suppliers, with a view to not contributing financially to companies that condone racist, sexist or anti-trans behaviour. We are updating our Ethics Policy to
make our anti-racist position more explicit.", create and support content centering nuanced voices of black experiences, supporting anti-racist charities,
Until 31 July, all income raised from the sales of three of our Chisenhale Editions will be split between The Black Curriculum @theblackcurriculum Black Land & Spatial Justice Fund and Black LGBTQIA+ Therapy Fund.YES(push to create anti-racist spaces)NO We believe in artists and we know culture has a vital role to play in unifying communities. We pledge and also appeal to peer organisations across our community to do the work necessary to create actively anti-racist spaces.'

9Create London Arts organisationNOAfter pressure from a number of ex staff/artists/community members they made this pledge: https://createlondon.org/our-anti-racism-pledge/Vaguely.YESto come... £18,000 for an external consultant - which they are yet to appoint. They are also part of the Hackney Council Windrush sculpture commission - which will see 2 new sculptures by black artists. It is unclear why they - an arts organisation led by white management, with 1 black member of staff in a producer role - are the organisation to lead this project. There is a group of current/ex staff, artists and community members currently putting pressure on them to denounce their involvement in racist gentrification and racist internal structural practices. They have recently announced that the chair to their board John Studinzki has retired as chair - we can only think that this has been rushed through in response to BLM as he has very suspicious connections/history.
