PawsCo Intake Protocol
2
Safety is incredibly important to PawsCo. Intake presents great risk because it brings many animals to an unfamiliar environment. Accordingly, for your safety and the safety of our beloved furry friends, please observe the following Intake Protocols during your intake processing:
3
All incoming animals must be kept in crates while waiting for vetting/photos/foster pickup
4
All dogs and cats on a slip lead when outside of crates during the intake process
5
Animals do not interact with each other
6
Animals should not meet each other at intake - NO animal interaction allowed
7
Only one dog is allowed in the front and one dog in the back warehouse/vetting at any time, unless authorized by a Director
8
Animals and fosters arriving for intake must wait in cars until called in
9
Fosters MUST stay with their animal at all times
10
Fosters tell intake coordinator what they need and intake coordinator pulls it together
11
Any accidents must be cleaned immediately
12
Any known sick animals should bypass intake and not enter the facility and then should be quarantined at the foster's home
13
All animals must have a PawsCo ID tag
14
Foster must leave with their animal as soon as the animal has completed intake
15
If an animal is overly stressed, their foster and the animal should sit in the front "events" room until the animal is ready for vetting - animals should not be "pushed" too far in order to accomplish vetting
