"The Voice" - PTSA liaison and Smoke and Scales KIM LEEIntroduce new new chair/Report: Kim Lee (thank you for stepping up)Sent all info to the PTSA. FYI, Kim is in charge of Smoke and Scales and so amkes sure to post our info. - we just need to send it!Smoke and Scales is updated every Wednesday morning during the school year (except winter and spring breaks). The deadline for submissions is 4:00 PM on the Sunday before publication. Send announcement as plain text in an email message. Photos and graphics must be sent as attachments in JPG format. Verify all dates, times, names, contact information, links and other details prior to submission.

"Membership Maven" MARTHA KAPITANOVReport: Martha Kapitanov - how's membership looking? 34 members as of 12/31/2017. We agreed to the purchased of new MWA stickers, to be ordered as soon as expenditure paperwork is complete ($224.00/100 stickers). order window clings/magnets...(JH); As soon as stickers arrive, send to all new VAB members on the list. Give extras to Foundation, to be sent with new members moving forward.Update membership form to include more volunteer options (like help with updating the website)

New policy requires that reimbursements over $100 must be pre-approved and made with the school credit card. Parents, when helping us by purchasing things, please be mindful of this.invite Rob to come by indivually and discuss Treasurer role and new online budget doc. PLEASE UPDATE DOC WITH THE FOLLOWING: $ ALREADY spent (or encumbered): 1) David Camden, ceramics with Art 2 $390.00; 2) Honorarium for Hamilton Glass, $50.00; 3) Kirk O'Brien, cartooning with Art 1, $492.00; 4) Tommy Van Auken, figure drawing with Art 1, 3, 4/5, $437.00; 5) NYC supplement. $1,400.00; 6) ADD SCHOLASTIC FEES $ ____________________; 7) Regula Franz (already paid some) approx. $123.00 needed for last installment; 8) Upcoming photo exhibit (seniors) @ Valet Gallery - $200.00 for space and approx. $100.00 for food

Incoming Parent Orientation (May _____th) at 5:30pm in the school auditorium to acquaint you with ways in which
parents can become involved. This one hour program will be followed by a
punch-and-cookies reception with current parents in the cafeteria.

Winter Holiday Party (December)cancelled for 2017. Discuss how to improve for next year. Importance of inviting newest members to encourage continued participation and to see who might be willing to help.Pick date/place early. Dates outside of scheduled school days become problematic for too many.

End-of-the-Year Party (May)Need to plan party to alllow these folks to particpate with us - and to generate some new board members! Possible date and location? Any volunteers? Friday May 18th at Kim's ? Could this tie in with senior show? Coach Senior party?
