*1. Students must complete through the second semester of a first year language course or equivalent (Check the catalog for details of this option.)
40
*2. TESL majors must complete a TESOL Practicum abroad of at least 3 weeks. This Practicum is usually completed during the Summer or Interim term. Students choose their program in consultation with the director of the TESOL program and the Office of International Studies and enroll in the course entitled TESOL Practicum Abroad (TEL 240) the semester after they return from being abroad and complete the on-campus requirements for the TESOL Practicum Abroad (TEL 240).
41
*3. The Education Department offers an interim trip that meets the U requirement: EDU236UZ Exploring British Education and Culture. See Education Abroad Options
42
This program assumes a student will use EDU317GZ to satisfy the General Education Comparative Systems (G) course requirement.
43
44
Most financial aid packages stipulate 12 credits/semester; Minnesota state grants are reduced when credit load falls below 15 credits/semester. (Interim credits may be split between fall and spring for state grant purposes only.)
