| Methodology |
| 1. All files pulled from the Secretary of State's Cal-Access Tool here: https://cal-access.sos.ca.gov/Campaign between February 15 and 28, 2022 |
| 2. We searched for all monetary and non-monetary contributions to all candidates for office between 2017 and 2022 from all contributors associated with the three private utilities and their labor union. |
| 3. We specifically searched for contributors associated with: PG&E, SoCal Edison, Sempra / SDG&E, PG&E's labor union (IBEW 1245) and the CA State Association of Electrical Workers |
| 4. We combined all the the above data into one list: (Tab 6) |
| 5. We then narrowed the list to all candidates for state legislature (Tab 5) |
| 6. We then matched all candidates who are a current, sitting state legislator (Tab 4, reference Key tab to see how we matched) |
| 7. We then summarized total contributions to each sitting state legislator from the aformentioned contributors (Tab 4) |
