Engineering NotesInstantaneous Power & Coolant application & withdrawal
More power is always more efficient and/or time saving
System damage model is a series of plateaus
slow fluidic power & coolant application & withdrawal
More power is generally less efficient, but still time saving.
damage is more granular & on a gradient
Engineering can have power redirected like in Artemis, but unlike Artemis, there is no coolant system. Overcharged systems take gradual damage until they are destroyed. Engineering also manages damage control teams, like in Artemis, but they function differently.

Ship RestockingDocking with a station automatically restocks the ship with whatever ordnance is available until supplies run out at that base. Fighters and damage control team members may also be replenished at bases in Artemis. Energy is rapidly restocked at a base. Bases can be asked to manufacture different types of ordnance, but it takes time to make that ordnance. You spend reputation to replenish ordnance at a base (it's not automatic). HVLIs, homing torpedoes and mines are relatively inexpensive while EMPs and Nukes are more expensive. Scan probes are automatically, but slowly replenished. Energy is automatically rapidly replenished. Hull damage is slowly repaired. Available ordnance is limited only by reputation. By default, bases are the only way to restock. You may spend reputation to request a supply drop from a station, which will take time to be delivered.Ships regenerate energy and do not require fuel or frequent station stops. Cannons use energy, Missile Ordnance replenishment is done at planets/bases according to the rules of the specific mission
