Usagefishing
8
You do not need to copy this sheet to use it. To search for items to desynth, use the "Lookup" tab. To search for items obtained via desynthesis, use the "Reverse Lookup" tab. This is a publicly accessible sheet, so please share.adasdasd
9
Use the Leveling Guide to find the cheapest way to level. Database needs more data entered - only GSM has data so far.
10
On the Desynth Chart, the "%" column is a rough estimate of the chance to get that particular item from desything the listed item. This number is highly estimated. I am still working out the formula.

Assumptions / Theories
17
This database makes a number of assumptions/guesses about how desynthing works. Some of them are listed below.
18
The demimateria you obtain from a given desynth has a fixed chance and a fixed type based on the item's "clvl" for crafted gear, and "rlvl" for other items. These changes are not influenced by the other items that can be obtained:
- clvl 20-29 (rlvl 20-29): 1x BC1/FC1 [10%]
- clvl 30-44 (rlvl 30-44): 1x BC1/FC1 [17%]
- clvl 45-49 (rlvl 45-49): 1x BC1/FC1 [8%], 2x BC1/FC1 [8%]
- clvl 50 (rlvl 50-54): 1x BC2/FC2 [17%]
- clvl 51-60: 1x BC2/FC2 [11%], 2x BC2/FC2 [11%], 3x BC2/FC2 [11%]
- clvl 50* (rlvl 55-69): 1x BC2/FC2 [8%], 2x BC2/FC2 [8%]
- clvl 50** (rlvl 70-89): 1x BC3/FC3 [17%]
- clvl 50***-50**** (rlvl 90-???): 1x BC3/FC3 [8%], 2x BC3/FC3 [8%]
19
The number of an item in a recipe has no bearing on how often it drops. When that item is chosen to drop, you will obtain between 1 and the number of the item in the recipe, all values with equal probability.
20
Clear Demimateria is dropped at a fixed but very low rate. The quality of the Clear Demimateria is based on the item's rlvl. This is not currently modeled in my guide, but will be at a later date. The drop rate is somewhere close to 4%.
21
When Demimateria does not drop, the item that does is randomly chosen from the other items in the recipe. The chance of each item dropping is often equal, but something appears to weight it. Until the weight factor is found, this sheet will assume all items drop with equal probability for the purposes of the calculations.
22
Some items cannot be obtained from desynthing despite being in the recipe for the item. These are usually "perishable" materials, such as glues and dissolvents. However, whetstones do drop sometimes, even though logically they should be treated the same as glues/dissolvants/etc.
23
Items do not break down further beyond the materials in their recipes. Meaning, if you desynth an Astrolabe, which includes an Astrolabe Clinometer as a component, you may get the Clinometer back, but you will not get the Clinometer's components back (such as the Radiant Astral Eye).
