About the Export
13
Innovation TabAll the information about all 7,265 innovations that was publicly available on the innovation profile on Global Innovation Exchange when the file was created in August 2021. Please note that Row 1 is the title and Row 2 contains the description for each column where necessary.
14
Milestone TabThis tab contains ALL the milestones for all 7265 Innovations that were posted on their innovation profile. Use the "innovation ID" column on both tabs to find which milestones apply to a specific innovation (i.e., they have the same innovation ID).

Milestones are achievements or accomplishments by an innovation that were included on the innovation profile on GIE. There are 8 different types including country implemented in, funds raised, recognition received, key partnership, in the news, and more. For each, the file includes relevant information such as the date when it occurred, organizations/programs involved, and a link.
-- There is one row for each Milestone so you will see that each innovation has multiple rows - 1 for each Milestone on the innovation profile.
-- Column C identifies the Milestone Type - Funds Raised, Recognition, New Country Implemented in, In the News, & New Product or Service. Please refer to the GIE Data Manifesto document for more information about each of the Milestone Types.
-- Row 2 contains the description for each column where necessary. Row 3 contains the Milestones types applicable for each column.

Few important things when reviewing these two tabs:
1) Some columns are only applicable to certain milestone types. For example, Column M "Funds Raised Amount (in usd)" is only applicable to Funds Raised Milestones. (For further details, please refer to the column description in Row 2.)
2) Column D "Milestone Date" refers to the reported date for when the Milestone occurred.
3) Columns N & O refer to if the Milestone - Funds Raised and Recognition respectively - is Verified. For further details about Verified Milestones, please refer to the GIE Data Manifesto document.
4) If you see a specific cell empty, then it either means that data was not provided on the innovation profile or it is a field that is not applicable particularly for the Milestone specific fields mentioned in #1 above.
15
NOTE: All innovations that have a manager or owner (Innovation Tab, Column H) are owned and operated by innovators. This means that innovators can update and edit the information on their innovation profile except the Verified Milestones that are locked.
16
