Here is log of my signal strength and iPerf3 throughput tests (in Mbps) with UniFi equipment with some of the devices/clients I have. The dBm and RX/TX values are as it is shown on Clients page in UniFi Controller and is recorded just before the send/upload or receive/download test finishes.UniFi Access Point Comparison Charts

Clients include 14 Nest Thermostats, 1 Nest Protect (for now) and PS3s, XBOX 360s, various Apple and Android devices and portable gaming devices.

Test Apps: Fleet Remote for iOS and Magic iPerf for Android. Custom settings: 60 sec duration, 2 sec interval, -R for download tests. Increased to 8 streams, starting with retest of 3.9.21 firmware.

Testing methodology: All clients are placed next to each other on the same table, that is 30 feet away from the AP. AP and clients are stationary. Clients are rebooted before each firmware is tested. An AP is tested in same sitting with all 5 test clients, no unnecessary delay between iperf3 test runs.

AP are tested 1 at a time and 1 band at a time and other APs have their SSID turned off and are disabled in UniFi Controller.

UniFi Equipment: UAS XG, USG XG, UDM Base, UDM PRO, 24 PRO switch, XG-6POE switch, AC PRO, HD, SHD, nanoHD, Walls APs, AP XG

Wired 24 L2 POE switch has been tested to UP=940, DN=949, with UAS and other wired clients such as custom Windows desktop and Macbook Pro.

All other setting are default. Band Steering is off, no roaming, no changes to RSSI, etc.

UniFi Controller is set to refresh every 5 seconds.
