How to use this spreadsheet:
24
This spreadsheet helps you to predict at what times you will enter each aid station. During the race, you can enter the actual time you enter a given aid station and all subsequent predictions will automatically adjust intelligently. Google provides an app to view/edit the spreadsheet on your phone. It also provides offline access. This will be important for editing the doc on the trail when you may or may not have cellular reception. When you do get reception, your updates will be uploaded so that friends and family can have accurrate predictions about when you will arrive at each aid station.
25
Step 1: Make a copy of this spreadsheet that you can edit. The one I am providing is read-only. To make a copy, select all cells, copy and then paste the cells into a new spreadsheet.
26
Step 2: Adjust the yellow cells BEFORE the race.
27
Step 3: You will now see your predictions in column B.
28
Step 4: Install the Google Sheets app on your phone. Mark this spredsheet to be available offline.
29
Step 5: During the race, when you arrive at each aid station, enter your actual arrival times in column C. It is fine to leave any number of these blank.
30
Step 6: Look at column D for adjusted aid station arrival times.
