Note: There are 60 credits to be achieved. 45 are level 3 and are formed of 3 subjects. The remaining 15 (usually level 2) are things like Study Skills, which you only get a pass or fail for. Therefore, entry requirements assume you'll pass those, and the distinctions and merits relate to the 45 credits of the core subjects only. Note: Other entry requirements such as GCSEs, UCAT/BMAT, and medical work experience may apply. I have only listed additional requirements that the Universities themselves have listed under the Access section. CambridgePossiblyAccess course alone is not considered enough to study medicine at Cambridge. Other requirements are needed, and the website states in all cases the student should contact a College admissions office to discuss individual circumstances.

If you have A-levels, they must be minimum ABB/AAC attained at first sitting, regardless of subjects taken. Resits only considered on a case-by-case basis. If you have a degree, it must be 2.1 minimum. GCSE requirements also apply. Accept only the following courses (as of July 2021):

Must have at least a 3 year gap between studies, A-levels or a degree. If a degree holder, achieving less than a 2.1 will not be accepted unless you have evidence of substantial experience in a healthcare environment. Best to email and check eligibility before applying if there is any confusion.

King's College LondonYes39 distinctions and 6 merits. Must be a medicine or dentistry course and must be QAA accredited. GCSE English language and Mathematics at 6/B.

LancasterYes45/45 distinctions in a QAA medicine course. 15 credits must be biology, 15 chemistry and 15 in another subject. GCSE Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (or Core & Additional Science), English language, and Mathematics at B/6. Previous education is accounted for. If you took 3 years to complete A-levels, you will not be accepted. Any AS or A2 qualifications should be at minimum grade C at first attempt. If you studied the wrong subjects at A-level, the three you attained must be BBB minimum. Applicants without AS/A2 qualifications must demonstrate excellent attainment in vocational/professional qualifications at a higher level than GCSE.

Not accepted as a top-up to A-level grades that would not meet the normal entry requirements. Not accepted if you have previously studied at University. Must be out of education for at least 3 years. University asks you contact them if you have been out of education for more than 3 years but previously attained A-levels or post-16 qualifications to determine suitability of application.

OxfordPossiblyAccess courses can meet the basic requirements for entry to the Oxford pre-clinical course. It is up to the applicant to demonstrate their course is equivalent to A-levels, particularly chemistry which is compulsory. 45/45 distinctions would be required, and realistically only the best performers would be capable of competing with A-level/IB students. Oxford doesnt recommend any particular Access or Foundation courses.
