General Tips!

REMEMBER: Most years, our tables are filled with guests or visitors from out-of-town and we are cooking for armies. This year, families will more likely be eating with only their immediate family. BE BASIC!!!

General Pesach Prep Tips
23
1. Buy 1 good Pesach cookbook (Passover by Design is good) - can also google Passover recipes
24
2. Many regular recipes can be made or slightly adjusted for Pesach. Simply find some and photocopy and keep in special Pesach folder
25
3. Instead of cleaning out kitchen closets and putting things in the basement, sometimes you can manage with leaving a covered folding table in the garage or elsewhere and keep all the Pesach stuff on that. Also consider getting a plastic set of drawers or bins and working direclty from those. (This can also make storage after pesach easier)
26
4. Consider Kashering a few pieces of silver or glass (Consult Rabbi Weinberg for details on how to do this).
27
5. Prepare your menu in advance, together with your shopping list - make sure that many items can be frozen.
28
6. Kosher Grocery Stores are open during chol hamoed! If you forgot something or need to restock after the first days, you can do it then!
