11/9/2018 17:41:59Diana ArmyRN)79690"This cigar has a nice box press shape which I always find attractive. The wrapper had a minor tear about one inch from the foot which may have occurred during shipping. However, it is apparent from the tear ad slight lift that the wrapper is a bit fragile and thin. The overall appearance is smooth with minimal notice of any veins. The color is a medium brown much like a medium roast coffee bean. The cap is well constructed and the foot reveals a compact filler." -Diana (ArmyRN)90"There is a hint of sweetness to the dry draw on this cigar. A mix of straw and light coffee is noted. Nothing repugnant or overwhelming is present. There is a pleasantness to the foot when inhaling unlit. " -Diana (ArmyRN)87.5Medium-StrongMedium-Full"I almost thought I tasted bitter chocolate on the first few puffs while lighting the cigar. It wasn’t chocolatey enough though and there was a bit of a bitter aftertaste on the finish. I almost thought it was candela wrapper at first because there was a slight grassiness to the flavor. About a quarter of an inch in the cigar started to settle from my somewhat unpleasant light. There is definitely a woodsy flavor that leans more toward thick grass for me. A white pepper is coming forward and the taste of black licorice is also present. I have to say this cigar has started out nothing like I thought it might. Getting about and inch and a quarter in the cigar has settled nicely. The pepper has switched to black pepper and is just the right amount. The grass has turned oaky and there is a slight sweetness that falls more in line with some kitchen spices and cocoa." -Diana (ArmyRN)90Medium-StrongMedium-Full"So the second third has settled down a lot and I’m really enjoying the combo of flavors. A hint of black pepper mixed with a nice sweetness like cinnamon and some mild leather with a bit of cocoa. This cigar really turned around for me. I’m drinking a cup of pumpkin spice coffee with this cigar and it is pairing nicely. There is a nice spiciness to the cigar that is now taming down the grassy wood notes. Some oak in the background is good and I’m happy that it has toned down." -Diana (ArmyRN)90Medium-StrongMedium"The last third is hitting a nice sweet spot for me. The flavors have blended together nicely at this point and this is a nice medium to full bodied smoke with some nice flavors. I’d love to have more cocoa and coffee come forward but it is still a pleasant mix of wood, a hint of black pepper, cocoa and some spice with cinnamon mixed into it. Of course just when I say that the grassy notes came back forward but its not as bitter as it was in the beginning. The balance of flavor notes is hanging in there so the cigar definitely finishes off much better than it started for me. " -Diana (ArmyRN)92.5"The draw was very good on this cigar. Not loose and not tight, just right. I used a deep v cut and there was plenty of smoke. The draw got a little hot toward the end but nothing that affected the flavors." -Diana (ArmyRN)92.5"Once the cigar burned through the lifted wrapper the cigar burned well. I didn’t have to touch up or straighten out the burn line. The burn line was crisp and straight and remained that way throughout the smoking experience." -Diana (ArmyRN)90"The cigar was well constructed even with the initial crack and lift of the wrapper leaf. There was no breakdown of the cap during the smoking experience. The draw became a little hot toward the end but the cigar construction never waivered. " -Diana (ArmyRN)92.5"This was a different smoke for me. The flavors seemed odd at times but the last part of the first third and the second third were much better for my palette. It paired nicely with my pumpkin spice coffee. I would smoke it again to see if the grassy notes were consistent in other cigars. Overall it was a fairly good smoke." -Diana (ArmyRN)75#NAME?#NAME?#NAME?#NAME?#NAME?#NAME?#NAME?#NAME?#NAME?#NAME?#NAME?
