It is a club that celebrates diversity and looks to educate and change misconceptions about stereotypes. Some topics might include: race, gender, LGBTQ rights, stereotypes and religious freedoms. IMS Theatre CompanyMondays-Thursdays 2:30-4:30 September to March
The IMS Theatre Company is an after-school group dedicated to exploring all facets of theatre performance and management. Students are welcome to audition for a role on stage or serve as technicians, where they will learn a variety of techniques such as lighting design, stage design, and sound.

Jazz OrchestraTuesdays 2:30-3:30 September to JuneThe Middle School Jazz Orchestra is a performing ensemble that studies American music that include swing, blues, latin. rock and other contemporary styles of music. Students will also be introduced to the basics of improvisation and creative individual expression through music. Mixed Select ChorusWednesdays 2:30-3:30 September -JuneChorus RoomMixed Select Chorus is an audition-based chorus for any student in 6th -8th grade. Auditions take place during the second week of school and rehearsals begin the next week. Students are introduced to advanced part singing and new languages from many world cultures.

Tiger DenMonday -Wednesday 2:30-4 November 6-April BreakBack of the CafeteriaTiger Den is a free after-school recreational program sponsered by the Ipswich Rec Department and is open to all IMS students. It provides a place to hang out, play games and complete homework. There is no sign up necessary and snacks are provided!! About once a month it hosts different activities that are open to all, even if students have never attended the club. Some extra activities include; pizza parties, after school "paint nights", rec games such as bubble soccer and healthy "cooking" classes. (These events may require sign up.)Kendall Gagnon
