| Sonic Realms | Paul Greenleaf | Actual play campaigns are edited and enhanced with sound effects, a cinematic score, and a full cast, creating an immersive actual play/audiodrama hybrid unlike anything else. | TWITTER: @Sonice_Realms INSTAGRAM: sonicrealms FACEBOOK: SonicRealmsPodcast | sonicrealmspodcast.com | Without a Net | Bamce (aka: Rob) | Without A net is a little different than your standard Shadowrun actual play, because we aren’t runners. These are a small group of wage slaves that have been hurled into the dark underbelly of Seattle criminal world. | FACEBOOK: WithoutANetPodcast DISCORD: Without A Net | https://withoutanetpod.com/
| Two hour campaign sessions are edited down into 15 minute hypercuts. Fans of the show create the NPCs | I know that you use to do a YouTube series where you put GMs and players unfamiliar with SR through a sort of "training camp" and by the end of it you sent them out on their own. I always thought it was a cool idea. Is this show related to that?
| NeoScum | Blair Britt | NeoScum is a narrative comedy podcast featuring five Chicago improvisers antagonizing their way through the roleplaying classic, Shadowrun. | TWITTER: @NeoScum | neoscum.com | Original Box Set | Cassi Pohlhammer | Four people down on their luck are hired: first by a mobster and his estranged wife, respectively; then by a psychiatrist for a rescue run. In between jobs they find themselves developing strange powers, meeting strange spirits, and making powerful enemies. | TWITTER: @OriginalBoxSet | www.originalboxset.com originalboxset.podbean.com
| The SR world is so dark and grim it's really great when a show can bring a levity to the setting. The NeoScum website has a soundboard. Do you get pushback from SR purists who want black trenchcoat darkness? | I think that Edge is truly THE key mechanic of SR. Do the players in your AP use Edge often?
| Emerald Grid | Cassie Levett | Shadowrun community streaming semi-weekly Denver Serrated Edge campaign, commissioning art, and Roll20 Shadowrun resources. | TWITTER: @EmeraldGrid TWITCH: EmeraldGrid | Crit Squad | Chris Henry | Crit Squad is a group of gamers, actors, and storytellers using tabletop RPGs to create an actual-play show that listens like a movie. The first campaign follows a group of career criminals forced to join an amnesiac orc woman on a suicide mission in the middle of a radioactive wasteland, only to meet a dangerous ally who offers them a chance at freedom. From that point follows a globe-spanning adventure with a varied cast of characters, a ton of bad luck, and a surprising amount of heart. All throughout, the squad uncovers secrets about their past and tries desperately to roll with the punches from an uncaring corporate dystopia as they struggle to find a semblance of solid ground from which to move on. Will they survive long enough to get revenge on those who bound them to this task? Will it even matter? | TWITTER: @CritSquadCast FACEBOOK: CritSquadCast | www.critsquad.com
| What would you say is the big 2018 takeaway in regards to Shadowrun? | I heard a story that one of the players in your AP has a very special relationship with Edge. Eric Snyder's character 'Ben Gable' burned so much edge throughout the first season that every last bit of Karma he earned went to replenishing those lost points. He never learned a new skill.
| Neo-Anarchist Podcast | Opti | In-character podcast hosted by Opti the Crow Shaman (or Raven, or whatever...) where he does his part to keep runners in the know by giving Sixth World history lessons. | TWITTER: @Neo_Anarky_Opti | neo-anarchist.com | Drek Happens | Mike Louie | Drek Happens is an actual play podcast with Mike's geekiest friends who haven’t played together since Shadowrun 3rd edition. | TWITTER: @DrekHappens | drekhappens.com soundcloud.com/drekhappens
| I heard that you have recently started a new Actual Play that has to do with Shadowrun. | I know a lot of us are so consumed in this tabletop culture that it feels like geeky TTRPG culture is taking over, and surely it IS getting more popular, but we still have a lot of family and friends who have NO idea what we do and look at us like we're freakin weirdos when we say we make a SHOW about this. Do you have any experiences like that Mike? None of us have any real-life friends that play tabletop role-playing games, so the primary goal of the podcast was to show family and friends that we aren’t cultist weirdos or require an intervention. After listening to our podcast, they now acknowledge we’re simply weirdos who are having fun. They still refuse to play with us.
| Deniable Assets | James | An in character podcast teaching runners both new and old info to help keep them alive and, hopefully, well paid. We also have our Tales of Deniable Assets that is an audio drama style show that features the trials and tribulations of our hosts and their team. | FACEBOOK: Deniable Assets | https://deniableassets.podbean.com/ | The Talent Agency | Nathan Blades | TTA is a vibrantly queer comedy actual play, run in Shadowrun Anarchy and other light cyberpunk systems, following criminals-for-hire in the arts and entertainment industry of 2077 UK. | TWITTER: @PhantomArtsEnt | ArsLingua.co.uk
| But surely the way to combat that and spread the love of the hobby is to introduce people to it, right? I'm passionate about introducing new gamers to the hobby. I know that you have players who were completely unfamiliar with TTRPGs. Do you find they bring a freshness to the game?
| Lowcountry Shadows | Jesus Salinas | a weekly Shadowrun podcast set in the Charleston metroplex, circa 2077. Follow the lives of runners who find themselves entangled with gang and Corp politics and power plays. | TWITTER: @LowcountryShadows FACEBOOK: Lowcountry Shadows | http://lowcountryshadows.libsyn.com/ | Violent Life | Damian Szydlo | The home of Tales from the Stuffer Shack actual play and the Shadowrun audio drama, Redmond Born. | TWITTER: @MyViolentLife | violentlife.shadowcasters.network
| Lowcountry Shadows was originally created to be set in the same world as the Complex Action Actual Play. As such, the Knights of the Confederacy find themselves at odds with the runners in Lowcountry Shadows. JIM SAYS: Instrumental in the death of everyone's favorite character | I suppose there is also that barely known crossover between Complex Action and The Vendetta Violent Shadowblog, in that Payday's group was the one that hit Vendetta Violents studio in the first season of the blog, and that's when he double crossed his team and gave them up before fleeing to Columbia.
| Seize the GM | Joules (aka: Rainbowsmite) | Seize the GM is a one stop shop for being a GM. It doesn't matter if you've never GM-ed before or are a seasoned veteran. We discuss various GM topics from worldbuilding and player engagement to finding a game that's right for your team and GM Self care. The four of us: Zendead, Null Operations, Guard-a-Manger, and Joules Watts discuss our own experiences and offer tools, tips, tricks and advice. And the occasional dad joke and pun | FACEBOOK: SeizeTheGM TWITTER: @SeizeTheGM | http://www.seizethegm.com/ | Join the Anarchy | Ozz | Shadowrun Anarchy actual play on Twitch - improvise and interactive via audience suggestion. | TWITTER: @TwitchAnarchy | jointheanarchy.shadowcasters.network
| You guys always like to record something at Origins. What do you have planned this year? | We all met on a gaming clan that played Assassin's Creed multiplayer, and we all got to know each other better by playing our very first pen and paper RPGs together.
| Arcology Podcast | Cliff (aka: Mr. Johnson) | A Shadowrun Community podcast which hosts informational podcast episodes and Shadowrun actual plays. | TWITTER: @ArcologyPodcast FACEBOOK: ArcologyPodcast | arcologypodcast.shadowcasters.network | Radio Free Detroit | Palmer | An in character podcast where Ziggy da Troll hosts a radio show broadcasting in Detroit where he discusses Shadowrunning, Philosophy, general life advice for the 6th world, and ice cream. | TWITTER: @ZiggyDaTroll | ziggydatroll.podbean.com
| The character of Ziggy was originally based on a character that I played in SR2/3 (who is now canonically his Ziggy's father); that old character was in turn inspired by a series of web posts by a guy going by Blackjack online, who had a troll philosopher character called Brumby, who stopped posting 18 years ago
| Complex Action | Bobby Frankenberger | A YouTube channel about tabletop gaming with a particular focus on Shadowrun.
