5
Sleep/Shelter/Pack2666
6
Alpine pack ~45L (DIY)719generally comfortable. some workmanship flaws showed up but otherwise held up well to 2 flights and 18 days constant use. Webbing is slippy & could use a hipbelt for heavier days. Perfect size.
7
Drybag (Podsacs ultralight XXL)78difficult to seal well, although fit the bottom of my bag better than most.
8
Rab Survival Zone bivvy340good, but serious moisture ingress in heavy showers where pooling on bag and on mat underneath. More for snow I think. Used as insect protection.
9
Micro-tarp & pegs (DIY)335perfect. lifter patch may be nice.
10
NeoAir mat400comfy some nights, not others. Ground solid everywhere. Noisy thing in general. Packs small. Not convinced.
11
Leg quilt (DIY)456great. handled some extensive bivvy moisture, naturally adjustable cover in sleep. Half the insulation thickness but larger area would have been better & worn base legs more on cooler nights.
12
Pillow (poundland)58oh yeah.
13
Ear plugs9useful to drown out snores or mosi buzz, but a bit sore in the ears to lie on. Used once.
14
Trekking pole + approx 1m duct tape271didn't actually use with such a light pack - only for pitching tarp but custom pole would be lighter for this.
15
16
Water & Cooking1152
17
Water - 750ml sport top & bottle holder83Easier to monitor/control consumption than bladder.
18
Ortleib 4L water bladder130Essential. used daily at camp & on trail. Full for a 12hr day with no water source, still not enough!
19
Opinal copy/Swiss classic SD48cut much charcuterie sausage, nails, beard, picked teeth, tweezed uber tick. Bought proper Opinal on way home :)
20
Spork10as ever...perfect
21
MSR Titan kettle125brill. 200g pasta is too much though, 150g may be workable. Should have brought pot-cosi.
22
MSR Chopping board71great - slides down back of pack
23
Gelert Can/bottle opener8never used. any cans were easy open.
24
Cup (Orikaso)52great for wine or holding tea if trying to boil up eggs. slides down back of pack.
25
Plate (Orikaso)46Good for meals.
26
MSR Pocket Rocket stove86awesome for tea, forgot windsheild but worked well
27
Camping Gaz/Screw gas converter71needed for below
28
Gas canister300got there - free at 1st campsite! Was left behind, otherwise up to 10euro if found anywhere
29
protein shaker84necessary evil of single use and wasted space. Used.
30
extra buff38pot cleaner /drier - not really used but stops things rattling around in kettle
31
32
Miscellaneous2008
33
Mini compass (Silva)18Better than a button compass. For emergencies /proving points - used more in towns.
34
Head torch (Petzl Tikka)76For writing and stumbling to the bathroom etc. Red lens is more like candle light than tactical.
35
Pen & notepad136Inka pen is the best thing. Paper for notes & journaling.
36
Camera (Olympus Mju II) & 10x film450Used 8 film. Camera can be used in rain, at beach, etc. Great results (hopefully)
37
Mini Gorilla-tripod47Used a few times for long exposure or self-portrait, but rocks used more.
38
monocular (Opticron)144Fun for watching birds, spying trekkers from epic breakfast locations, stars, moon, boats.
39
Pipe & tobacco86For travel and rest days mostly.
40
Sunglasses & cord & case48Used travelling & on beach. Sunhat sufficient on trail.
41
Sunscreen - 200ml P20112Top stuff. Apply once, sweat & swim. Never burn, a little tan. More than enough for head, neck & arms.
42
Insect repellent77Should have applied more widely and religiously, something ate me everywhere.
43
Dry bagsFor food & stuff
44
Alpkit micro carabiners8Very useful.
45
French dictionary170Never used. I knew enough to get by & it was never handy when possibly needed. Must learn more.
46
iPod shuffle28Great travelling home
47
FAK - blister kit [compeed, pin, lighter], crepe bandage, pasters, steri-strips, E45, cotton buds, fluorscen eye strips, ibuprofen, paracetamol, anti-histamine, anti-nausea, antacid142Used E45 one day where I missed a spot of sun protection. Some tablets for bite-relief. All necessary though.
48
Sewing kit2Not used.
49
50
Hygiene - toothbrush, 25ml toothpaste, 100ml soap, bic razors, comb, TP, alco gel, lip balm230All good. Dr Bronner's Tea Tree liquid soap great for everything, used about 60mls. Toothpaste prob good for a month.

Extra Clothes:1157
63
LS wool top220Lovely for night-time
64
long leg thermals195worn once when washing all other clothes. more appropriate with thinner quilt maybe.
65
bed socks88Not used.
66
insulation (RAB Generator Alpine)520certainly used, but maybe full length quilt & down vest would have worked?
67
v.thin gloves28Not used.
68
Thin socks spare (Decathalon running)36Used & binned at end. Hung on to dust, didn't dry well and stunk quickly.
69
Undies spare (Under Armour)70Great. Easy wash & dry. No pong. Comfort central.
70
Flip-flops for camp220Got there cheap. Did the job, although may camps not flip-friendly due to mountainous nature!
71
72
On/Off Clothes:715
73
Rohan Central shirt300Love this. Pockets, sleeves roll nice. Wicks & dries incredibly. Cuts wind well. Comfortable. Bobbles a bit only disappointment, though will likely last 10yrs.
74
Jacket (Rab Alpine Softshell)285Brill. Breathes very well. Other than mist no real rain protection. Smells a bit chemically..
75
Wide-brim sun hat (TNF)92Shades from light & heat of sun. Top kit.
76
Buff38Need I say anything? Great as a beanie in the evening.
77
Emergency poncho46Used one day in torrential rain, more for a little heat retention.
78
79
Food2646
80
Protein 60g /Oats 100g x10 portions1600Gritty, but effective.
81
Treats500Went through v. quickly. Magic 'lambas bread' tasty choc biscuits & slabs of Chocolate main resupply.
82
VitaminC & Zinc effer x20, Ginseng x15112For the health & vitality with restricted diet. Lay off the Vit C for a few days when it tasted like blood!
83
Salt/Pepper/Herbs64For the tasty eggs and pasta.
84
Cooking oil100Not used - should have left out when frying pan discarded.
85
Sleepeasy teabags & teabags100Because a brew is nice on expedition.
86
Hot choc powder170Didn't use much actually, but had enough for 11 days.
87
88
89
Clothes worn:880
90
Merrell trail shoes (+dirt!)400Amazing rock grip & feather weight make for practically running up hills. Stony tracks work feet very hard though and there is no tread for steep dusty descents. No doubt the care needed for foot placement is why my knees & legs were fine, but descents felt slow and feet feel internally bruised near the last few days. Approach shoes or stiffer trail runners may be better compromise for solid european trails.
91
Thin socks (Decathalon)36Used & binned at end. Hung on to dust, didn't dry well and stunk quickly.
92
Undies (Rohan)70Great. Easy wash & dry. No pong. Comfort central.
93
94
Rab Easy Rider trousers279Perfect. Became the dirtiest trousers in Corsica, and thereafter a tribute.
95
SS synth tee95Comfortable, wash/dry well etc. But drying on rocks does lead to small holes.
96
97
Didn't make the cut:1123
98
Blizzard stake as trowl23use trek pole
99
