How To BeginTimelinessI come into the music room late and/or do not get ready for the beginning of rehearsalI am in the music room when the bell rings but sometimes I am not ready for the beginning of rehearsal.I am in the music room when the bell rings, in my seat with my music organized, ready to begin 2 minutes after the bell.I am in the music room early and ready early.

Instruments & SuppliesI sometimes forget to bring my instrument home for the weekend. I often forget my instrument and/or supplies for class.I sometimes forget to bring my instrument home for the weekend. I sometimes do not have my instrument or supplies. I sign out the item I need and create in my assignment notebook to remember in the future.I bring my instrument home on the weekends and a few times during the week. I have instrument and all necessary supplies.I always bring my instrument home for the weekend and always bring it home a few times during the week, so I can reinforce the concepts covered in class. I always remember supplies and help others who may be missing something.

Music & Pencil ReadyI have lost or torn music. No pencil. I will borrow a pencil from the front of the room.I have my music, but it is disorganized or not in a 3 Ring Binder. I have my pencil most of the time. My music is organized in my 3 Ring Music Binder. A Pencil is in my folder.My 3 ring music binder and pencil are always ready. I help others with music/pencil.

Wise Warm-upsI play instruments that belong to others or do not participate in warm-ups.I am unfocused or careless with my warm-ups. I start by playing my band music or fun music.I play long tones, lip slurs or warm-ups found in the warm-up book.I have a set of warm-ups which include long tones, lip slurs, and tuning. I do these at the beginning of every rehearsal.

How to EndTimelinessI start to clean-up during rehearsal, leave the room before the bell, and/or waste time at the end of rehearsal.I am proficient most of the time, but I occasionally need a reminder.I clean-up in the time allotted, stay in the room until the bell or excused, and I am not late to my next class.I am prompt with clean-up and I help others.
