This tool helps groups organize their air monitoring budget and itemize expenses based on personnel, equipment, travel and administrative costs integral to an air monitoring project. The template can be used to estimate the funds necessary for a proposed air monitoring plan or support budget tracking for a current project.

1. Fill in the rate per hour for each personnel group and the cost per equipment, travel, and other quantity categories.*
2. Organize your air monitoring budget into separate tasks, such as network design, installation, maintenance, etc.
3. Fill in the hours and resource quantity necessary to complete each task.
The tool will then calculate the total funds needed per each task, across each budget group, and for the project as a whole. The itemized costs are summarized in the Summary table below the template.

*Note: this tool can be adapted to include personnel, tools, etc. specific to a project that are not already listed.
