In my experience working in five international schools around the world, I have seen how dedicated outdoor social spaces support student well-being and connection. Currently, shared spaces in our school are typically prioritized only when they are connected to sports fields — yet many students do not socialize around sports culture. They thrive through other forms of interaction: reading, talking, playing games, or simply enjoying time with friends.
