Q:Where do i get Buggane or other event summons?

A:Buggane can be bought at the Arcanist and Monuments Guild Shop during a Paths of Fomoria Event. Check the Skills tab for infos about every event summon. Also all event summons can be bought at the Arcanist and Monuments Guild Shop during The Mimics Are Loose, Return of the Mimics and the Friends and Family december event.

Q:Is my build good? What can i improve?

A:As long as you can make progress your build is just fine. If you're looking for specific gear or an orientation on what to build check the Classine Gear, Noteworthy Gear and Builds tab.

Q:I feel weak... should i upgrade my gear even when my summons do the work?

A:Yes absolutely. Upgrade your gear during your sleep to not miss out on it during the day. It really works wonders for your survivability. A good upgraded weapon even enables you to do dmg by yourself! The upgrades up until Lvl 10 are relatively cheap so don't worry about the costs.

Q:My minions shall become stronger! How do summon stats work?

A:Summon stats are additive except for Ascensions. They influence the stats of you summons multiplicative. The general formula is:

(100% + Summoner's passive + Specialization + Gear)*(1+Ascensions/100)

An example with GS Benefactor at Ascension Level 10 and summon stat armor:

Q:Scrap the boring math! Does summon stat gear matter or not?

A:Due to their additive nature the impact of summon stat gear decreases the stronger your summoner passives become. Even moreso summoner gear does tend to have bad stats impairing your survivability thus the general recommendation to neglect summon stat gear and to build 'tanky' instead. Check the Abilities and Gear tabs for values.

To further explain in the example above the summon stat gear increases the overall stat by 37/430=8.6% instead of 37% so roughly a quarter of the shown value.

Q:I need summons! Now! How do Benefactor, Sturdy Feet of Eos and Omega Riftlock work together?

A:Benefactor has a 50% chance to reduce your summon turns by 1 turn.

Each Sturdy Feet of Eos works like Benefactor giving you a chance of 50% to reduce your summon turns by 1 turn and they stack. So 2 augments give you a chance of 50% to reduce your summon turns by 2 turns etc.

Each Omega Riftlock gives you a chance of 25% to instantly summon and they stack so two Omega Riftlocks give you a 50% chance.

All of those stack. For example Benefactor and 2 Sturdy Feet of Eos result in a 50% chance to reduce your summon turns by 3 turns possibly instantly summoning a 4 turn summon. This does stack with up to two Omega Riftlocks too resulting in a 75% chance to instantly summon a 4 turn summon!

Q:Let's talk towers. Do i want to build a tower? Which one?

A:If you have ongoing trouble to find towers in the wild it's beneficial to build one on your own to be independent of the weekly rotation. With the new home teleport feature you're able to climb your own tower wherever and whenever you want!

For the summoner classline the Tower of Eos does provide you with the basic Titan augments you need. When diving into advanced tactics the Towers of Prometheus, Oceanus, Selene and Themis in this order become interesting too.

Q:The question of questions: Celestial Weapons or Celestial Classes first?

A:Buy the classes first except Summoner Hydrus. Summoner Auriga's Mighty Griffin is a very good and consistent multi purpose summon, Grand Summoner Hydrus becomes less relevant on its own with ascensions moving forward but its Ancient Dragon summon is arguably the best summon in the game and Grand Summoner Auriga provides you with warrior gear and smart summons making your plays much safer. Summoner Hydrus has nothing to offer unfortunately since its summon ain't that useful.

After unlocking the classes you should have a good understanding on what weapon you need to supplement your favourite playstyle and enough augments to build it as you like.

Q:Can i codex as a summoner?

A:First things first your summons can't codex! Meaning resistances, weaknesses, immunities etc. your summons discover during a fight will not be implemented in your codex.

In theory you can codex as a summoner by using various skills and spells on your own but you'll have to put much more effort behind it than classes that are able to use a follower. Also some status immunities can only be codexed with a certain follower. So in order to successfully codex a class that's able to use a follower is much more effective.

Q:Unsolved Mystery. How does Battalions exactly work?

A:In general Battlions gives your summons a chance to protect you from incoming spells or skills and take the damage and effects themselves. The higher the ability level and the number of summons on the field the higher are the chances of you being protected. The chances can further be increased by certain gear or adornments, check the Classline and Noteworthy Gear tabs.

After the latest 'hidden numbers' update we do have some exact numbers concerning the chances. However some informations are still unknown.

1.) Battalions 3's chances do cap at 50% in PvE content. Note that the enemy AI has more targets to choose from the more summons are on the field further decreasing the chances of you being hit.

2.) The individual chances to be protected per summon are influenced by diminishing returns meaning every consecutive summon will have less chance to protect you than the previous one. Check the values of each passive at the Skills tab.

3.) It's possible to double the chances of Battalions with gear.

4.) Battalions's protect chances cannot reach 100%.

5.) Battalions's chances are greatly reduced in PvP/PvAI.
