How to Play

-- Free Gold Watch is located at 1767 Waller St. San Francisco, CA 94117 (Right across from McDonald's, Do not park in their lot, you will be towed.)

-- Store hours are from 10-7pm M-T, 10-8pm W-Th, 10-7pm F, 1-7pm S, 1-6pm Su. Every other Wednesday is League night starting at 7:30 and is only open for league members.

-- Talk to anyone behind the front desk about playing in Super League and they will give you a score card. When you are done, turn in your score card back at the front desk as well.

-- Remember to write your first and last name on each scorecard. Also include your email address so you can get reminders of when new rounds are available and finals.

Basics

-- Each month there are 3 rounds of 6 machines. Each round you play each game once and record your score.

-- The cost is $5 for all 3 rounds. 100% of prize pool will be payed out to winners during the end of month finals.

-- Any round can be replayed at any time for the cost of $5. You must play the whole round and all new scores must be kept, even if they are worse.

-- It is wished that you complete your round at one time, you may not play warm up games once a round is started. If for some reason you cannot finish a round, you must leave your ticket at the front desk to be completed the next time you return prior to any warm up games.

-- All 3 Rounds will be available the 1st of the month, and must be completed by the last day of the month. Rounds may be played in any order.

-- Players should report all machine malfunctions to store management. Should a beneficial malfunction occur (including a ball becoming stuck during multi-ball play), the player must stop play ASAP -- they may not take advantage of the malfunction.

-- Extra Balls can be played during qualifying rounds. However, during the monthly playoffs, extra balls cannot be played and are subject to a one-flip rule.

-- No deathsaves or bangbacks are allowed.

-- New players will be asked to verify their scores by someone at the store, after a few rounds or months a player may be trusted to record their own scores without verification at the discretion of the tournament directors.

-- Any player found cheating or breaking the rules will be suspended from play for a length of time depending on the offence. Second time offenders will not be allowed to play ever again.

-- You MAY NOT continue a game with the buy a ball feature found on some games. If any player is found doing so, they may read the rule above and show themselves out.

-- Coaching is allowed during the qualifying rounds.

-- Any situations not covered by what has been written on this page will be handled according to standard PAPA/IFPA Tournament Rules, which can be found at http://www.ifpapinball.com/menu/rules/.

Scoring and Playoffs

-- Each rounds scoring will be ranked based on 100, 90, 85, 84, 83, 82, 81....point structure.

-- All 3 rounds will be added together to make a monthly total.

-- The new months scores will first be updated after the previous months finals and then at least once a week there after.

-- The number of people who qualify for playoffs will depend on how many players play in the qualifying rounds. If less than 16 players play, the Top 50% (rounded down) qualify for playoffs. If 16-32 play, there will be 8 playoff spots. If more than 32 play, there will be 12 playoff spots.

-- Playoffs will be a ladder system starting with the lowest four ranked players playing a 1 game playoff with the higher seed given choice of machine or position. The loser is eliminated.

-- Each consecutive round the next highest player will enter the group with choice of machine or position. The other 3 player who advanced will have choice based on original standings.

-- Play will continue until there are is 1 player remaining and they are crowned the champion.

-- The top finishers will win cash prizes depending on the prize pool.

-- This month's playoffs will be held on Wednesday, November 9 at 7:00 PM.
