THE ANR REBOOT PROJECT

Project Goals and Guidelines:

Develop a rebalanced reboot of Android: Netrunner, starting with the Original Core Set and working toward the point when rotation happened.

Cards that proved to be too-powerful mistakes will get nerfs that flatten their power level without rendering them unplayable (although some cards might be so binary that this is not possible)

Cards that were embarassing binder-fodder, or unnecessarily weak will get buffs that hopefully make them playable in some deck

In the event that a card is SO weak that a simple change will not make it playable in any competitive deck, the goal is to make it so casual players who choose to play with the card are not needlessly punished.

Earlier cards will be balanced more-or-less for the point at which they were printed, with newer cards balanced in light of older ones.

However, since we know which cards will be coming, there is no reason to not use this information as a factor in guiding some changes.

Changing 1 Number

Changing 1 Number ('a' has an implied '1', as does 'break barrier subroutine' etc.)

Adding a 'Unique' diamond

Adding Limit 1 Per deck

Adding a short/simple functional errata

...Only using the later options if earlier ones are insufficient or inelegant

You are encouraged to both explore competitive decks, trying to make the best deck possible, or casual decks, trying to check if a bad card you have a soft spot for is now usable.
