Very talented young rider with beautiful balance and quiet leg. While horse goes forward in a nice steady tempo, think about increasing the push and power and accept the weight into your hand- think about your pony looking for your hands with the hind legs rather than your looking for your pony's mouth with your fingers. You have a little bit of a tendency to 1) ride with your hands too high and 2) your hands follow a bit too much as you sit and rise in the posting. You have such a nice stable balance in your core and solid leg so I think that the following motion may come either from stiffness in your hips ortension in your shoulders. Imagine that your arms are hot fudge sauce on a hot day and let them flow down your ribcage....the sticky chocolate should hold your upper arm against your ribcage so that your arms don't actually move on their own. As you rise in the posting, think about pushing your hips towards your pony's ears and bring your shoulders to her croup. You want your low back to stay soft and for the pony to push you up rather than you exaggerating the forward and back movement. You can get stronger with the posting rhythm when you want her to trot bigger and with more power.....but then your steady upper arm will help you stay stromg anmd balanced over her so that she doesn't get faster- she just gets a bigger step. Be careful in the free walk not to get too tight in your seat or thigh. Relax and allow your seat to swing from side to side and back to front with Minnie's walk so that she relaxs through her topline and the walk gets more flowing and supple. Imagine she is a slinky panther strutting her stuff! A good free walk can get so expressive it is hard to sit! Lastly, with talent like yours- DON"T throw away points by being sloppy or inaccurate. Ride a full 20m circle- never and oval. Plan where the circke should start and end- don't start 3 or 4 meters after the letter- start at the letter. Remain on the track and use your corners to help Minnie balance. I don't expect and Intro horse to make a square corner but I do want to see her on the rail at M and then at C on that diagonal. I hope that you will send more videos in over the years and I get to see you progress over time. Or, who knows, if you are in Middleburg, perhaps I will get to judge you locally!! Goof luck and keep on the great work.
