1 | Overview | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
2 | Writers: ckorkos Part 1 Summary: Traveling Azura's Coast, the player encounters two pilgrims and a guar from the Urshilaku Ashlander tribe. The pilgrims are traveling to the Shrine of Azura - one of the most sacred places on Vvardenfell, and neutral ground between the frequently warring Ashlander tribes. They have stopped to rest, and hail the player while passing on the road. They are unable to trade their meager supplies, but are happy to share wisdom and prophecy with the player. While discussing their goal of visiting Azura, the player is able to recommend an offering for the shrine. Each decision will provide some insight into the Ashlander view of Azura, and will reward the player with a specially brewed tea from the group's leader. Part 2 Summary: Near the Urshilaku Ashlander Camp in Northern Vvardenfell, a new song can be heard. Dalder-Sai is teaching Aka-Lorna a ballad from beyond their culture – a song of joy and renewal from wanderers of a distant land. The young warrior-pilgrim has paid his debt of honor and may again speak, but will never again be welcome in his tribe. In this encounter, the player must choose one of two offerings to give to a Shrine of Azura - this one much smaller and humbler, facing the water at the shore north of the camp. One offering represents a desire for strength in solitude, and of peaceful acceptance of difficult conditions. The second represents violent upheaval and revenge. This choice determines the pilgrims' fate. Part 3A Summary: At the outskirts of Ald Velothi, a song of lament can be heard. The player finds Aka-Lorna kneeling before a sealed jar. His song is solemn but confident, and he speaks with a maturity that he did not possess before. He calls the player “Luhn’silvar”, as Dalder-Sai does in the first encounter, and explains that his grandfather said this is where he and the player would next meet. After the second encounter, DS convinced AL to let go of his anger and leave Urshilaku behind, then passed away shortly after. In this concluding encounter, AL shares his plan to depart on a journey beyond Vvardenfell, and eventually beyond Morrowind. In his parting lines, he shares an amulet with the player, which bears a different name, description, and enchantment based on their choice of offering in the first encounter. Part 3B Summary: At the outskirts of Ald Velothi, there is no song. The player finds Dalder-Sai kneeling before a sealed jar. His voice is weak, too heavy with grief even to cry. The pilgrim explains that his grandson was overtaken by anger and returned to the Urshilaku Camp, attacking Ashkhan Sul-Matuul outright. The Ashkhan slew him in front of the tribe, while the others held Dalder-Sai back. Nothing Dalder-Sai could do would dissuade him. He presents AL's offering of violence (the chitin dagger) and the player must answer a speech check. If the player fails, then DS attacks and must be killed. If the player passes, then DS resolves to leave Morrowind behind - similar to AL's ending, but his voice is weak, uncertan, and lost. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
