HKUST - Hong Kong/Offline11.04.2024Sustainable International DinnerCEMS Club HK is dividing the participants into groups which prepare a dish of their choice together with the focus on one sustainability aspect (e.g. low waste, no meat, local produce, produce with a low Co2 impact, etc.). Afterwards we will eat together and every group explains their dish and their sustainability effort. CEMS Club HK will provide some inspiration/ information material on Co2 footprint of food and the impact of different produce on the climate.

UoC - GermanyCarolin HeuserOfflineThroughout the weekVegan Charity Running Dinner, Sustainability Night, Instagram Post SeriesWe are doing a vegan running dinner where we all jointly donate to a charity organization. The sustainability night will be another social event which we are still working on (details will follow).1. 21, 2. ca. 18< €100Participants were motivated and the events went as planned! We collected donations from all participants of the Running Dinner, here we even got some information materials from our CEMS SP + donation partner CARE.Due to many other events, as it was the first week of lectures, many people were very busy already. Support was great https://www.instagram.com/pimandcemscologne/ Story Highlight GRW

LSM - BelgiumEugénie MisonneOnlineAll weekSustainability Challenges & 1 anecdote 1 company heading in the right direction in terms of CSRGiven that 3/4 of the cohort will be abroad for their work placement, we're going to organise a series of challenges to be completed and posted on a whatsapp group. In addition, we'll be posting announcements about companies that are taking action on climate change or moving towards new business models.

UCD - IrelandGiada AngeliOfflineKPMG Talk on sustainability, NGO Management workshop and fundrasaing quiz nightKPMG Talk orgnaized with an alumni and allowed us to visit the offices. The NGO workshop as well as the sundraising quiz night were organized from scratch by the team. The workshop and as hosted by a CEMS alumni, founder of an NGO, and included case studies written by us. The quiz night was organized to riase funds for her NGO. Everything was done with no budget so we reached out to local businesses to get sponsorships for the prizes. The timing was not good. It was during the exam season and as a consequence people did not register for the events. It would be nice to get support form the partners as none asnwered to our request for goodies or funds that can help us have prizes.

WU - AustriaHannah OssenbergOffline11.04.Movie night (incl. pannel discussion)- Organization of a movie night showing a sustainability related movie
- If possible, organize a pannel with relevant CEMS partners, professors, ... to engage in a discussion about the topic of the movie
4< €100Eventhough we have only been a small number of participants, the event itself was super nice. We combined the movie night with a small potluck. The timing of the GRW for WU was not optimal, due to
(1) A lot of people participated in the V4 conference/went to Prague
(2) The semester has only started two weeks beforehand

Additionally, we tried hard to get social partners on board (i.e. WWF) but haven't received any answer
It would be very nice to get the CEMS Social Partners for the GRW on boardSee Cems Club Vienna Instagram

HSG - SwitzerlandHenry Ha OnlineThroughout the weekA CEMS City Guide About Sustainable Living in St.GallenCEMS Club HSG will publish a guidebook to cover multiple aspects of sustainable living around the city - groceries, farmers' market, food & drink, cafes, local businesses, parks and natural conservation areas, charities, waste management facilities, donation / second hand shops, etc. The book will also include some stories on local perspectives on sustainability, their community & values, and lots of pictures of places and people.< €100The overall suggestions and activity ideas were nice to include in the city guide. The local students and staffs feel happy to see St. Gallen being represented in a sustainable perspectivePromoting the city guide could've been better, since it was during the spring break and everyone was away to Budapest and other travelling agendas. Had it been earlier in the semester we could've planned something with more activties and engagements with the student bodyWell maybe have it scheduled before or after major CEMS global events such as the V4 conference this time, since the most active cohort is anticipated to travel and engage in something else during this time. And I'm not super clear how the SBR is supposed to help me as we were basically told what to dohttps://www.cemsclub.ch/global-responsibility-week-sg

LSE - United KingdomJanna WirthOnlineAll weekSustainable cooking competitionWe plan to host a “Share Your Sustainable Dish!” online event! Participants will cook their favourite sustainable national dish (or dishes) and we’ll feature it on CCL’s Instagram to showcase the CEMSie cooking prowess!! All dishes will be assessed for their creativity, regionality, seasonality, etc and the dish with the lowest carbon footprint will win a prize!4< €100Participating students put a lot of thought, creativity and effort into their recipes and included great pictures for the insta postsSince this was just after the end of our term, we received almost no submissions even after several reminders, next time it might be best to collect submissions much earlier during the term and then post them during GRWLSE term times definitely restricted our options for GRW events since most students had already left London at the time and generally did not engage much with virtual initiatives eitherhttps://www.instagram.com/p/C5g_cuQqAmn/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

FGV - BrazilJulie WiegandOfflinethroughout the weekSustainability Week Challenge, 1 corporate/company event tbc with a CSR professional, movie/documentary night on a sustainability issue, Volunteering event at a non-profit working with childrenWe are currently still working on the specific details of the events 20< €100Relatively good event participation considering the size and usual engagement of events of the club. I think we also picked good events that students felt motivated to attendEngagement with the students throughout the entire week i.e. the challenges went really well first few days, but then engagement and motivation decreasedI think material was sufficient, would have been cool to collectively organize an online event or call2action across all schools. Encouraging the collaboration between schools more would have potentially also helped with finding ideas. Thank you for the organisation!https://www.instagram.com/cemsclubsaopaulo/

CBS - DenmarkMarc Philippe FarahmandOffline13.04Food DonationsAs a group of CEMS students, we want to collect donations and with that money go grocery shopping and cook for people of need and homeless in copenhagen. For that we aim to partner up with an NGO and cook at their location as well as serve the food there and clean everything up at then end around 15< €200- we collected the donations all from students and exceeded our goal
- the prep of the entire event was great as Wafa (CBS CEMS coordinator) was personally involved in the charity so she introduced us to them
- we were able to actually contribute to the community by donating food to around 70 people of help and homeless in copenhagen

the marketing of the event on the offical CBS CEMS instagram account as it occured delayed and not during the GRW– great set up of communication channels https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1omCquY4YTreEumvHUTGz4ocWrGHSojfr

< €1001/2/3. All activities were organized well in advance, as slots from associations run out fast, and we had to make sure to reserve them even a month before. Good organization and information provided to CEMSies to allow them to take part in the different activities.1. Unfortunately not many people joined the blood donations because only Italian speakers could take part in the initiative as a national regulation, and many Italians were scared by the experienceNothing special

AALTO - FinlandSara-Maria RönkköOffline10.4. & 8.4.Hurstin Apu Volunteering & Event with FairtradeVolunteering at a Soup Kitchen (Hurstin Apu) in Helsinki, an afternoon event with Fairtrade regarding sustainability reporting and issues around foor production 4 & 15< €100- Everything went smoothly with the partner organization, and they are eager to continue cooperation, participants enjoyed the event more than they had expected- It was hard to get participants, so marketing could have been more effective- I think overall tips on how to engage more people to attend CSR-related eventshttps://drive.google.com/drive/folders/18vfmPpnmzmEz2YsoNfEKXTIabr2oAcMH?usp=drive_link

NHH - NorwayTina Offline2nd of AprilNHH x UNICEF Skill SeminarWe invited UNICEF to our campus for a skill seminar on the topic of "Children's Rights in the Sustainability and Just Transitions Agenda." This allowed our students to understand how to protect children’s rights in the business world and to raise awareness among our students. 20< €100What Went Well? Everything went well, and we had more participants than we expected. The skill seminar was very interactive, and the speakers were professional. What Could Be Improved? We had three speakers and three topics, which was a lot to cover in one afternoon. Next time, perhaps we could extend the event duration and spread out the information more effectively.Feedback for SBR: Nothing particular to note, but perhaps ensure that we recruit more people for the ESG team next time. Then it's easier to arrange more events on ESG weekhttps://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7185988845828472832/
