TopicReviewing an IEP and making connections to their lesson planning. Teachers will learn about the various special education programs available at NBOE and their important role as the general education teacher.Assessment and Feedback (Elementary): This workshop will focus on ways to effectively assess important skills and needs of your students and provide meaningful and high leverage feedback that will move them forward.Understanding, Expressing, and Regulating Emotions in the Classroom: Whether we acknowledge it or not, our students' lives as well as our own extend into the classroom. As teachers we need to create spaces for students to understand and express their emotions and in order to do that we need to learn to regulate and express our own. Without doing so we lose an opportunity to connect with our students, to model healthy adult emotional reactions, and leave open opportunities for conflict. In this session we will review strategies from Marc Brackett's Permission to Feel to learn to recognize/label our emotions, understand their root causes, and learn strategies of regulation/expression that will not only benefit our students but us as individuals.Pre-K Session: Classroom Arrangement
