The Risk Pool Fund is a collaborative experiment that makes fast, flexible funding available to nonprofits (nominated by Risk Pool partner - Eleanor Crook Foundation, Vitol Foundation, CRI Foundation, and Open Road Alliance) that are encountering an unexpected obstacle that threatens impact.

NEAR's Change Fund - Bridge Funding WindowFlexible, trust-based grants to vetted NEAR member organizationshttps://www.near.ngo/the-change-fund-bridge-funding-windowThrough a locally-led governance structure and process, the NEAR Change Fund, Bridge Funding will award flexible, trust-based grants to vetted NEAR member organisations. The Bridge Funding Window is only open to current NEAR Members significantly impacted by the US government funding freeze.

The criteria will include: 1, the organisations size (prioritising smaller organisations with less than $1M USD), 2, the impact from USG Funding Pause relative to the organization’s overall budget and operations, and 3, the impact to current humanitarian and lifesaving programs.

We will prioritize funding based on urgency, impact, and unmet needs. Our focus is on organizations where funding gaps threaten critical progress in disease prevention, evidence generation, and life-saving interventions not covered by the U.S. Government’s waiver. They are not accepting funding requests at this time.

The Stop TB Partnershiphttps://www.stoptb.org/The Stop TB Partnership launched a $3 million fundraising campaign, called “Keep The Lights On,” to sustain the work of tuberculosis survivor networks and local community organizations combating TB that have been affected by the aid freeze.

GiveDirectlyCash transferhttps://www.givedirectly.org/GiveDirectly facilitates direct cash transfers to people living in poverty. This year, they had planned on sending $20 million in cash transfers to some 38,000 families in extreme poverty with USAID funding. But that has been impacted by the funding cuts.The nonprofit is now fundraising to continue delivering cash to these families, with an initial goal of $1 million.
