7
Finance CommitteeWe are currently seeking two additional members of the Finance Committee to continue with the development of clearer policies and procedures, as well as responsibly maintaining ISSTD’s current financial health and ensuring continued growth.
8
UN Task ForceVolunteers can attend UN meetings and network within the UN with over 4000 NGO's (non-governmental organizations). We need people to go through the UN calendar, selecting appropriate meetings to attend. We also need people to assemble materials that can be given out at UN meetings, and short speeches that ISSTD UN representatives can have available when they are given the opportunity to speak.
9
Certificate CommitteeWe occasionally need people to help HQ track Certificate credits. What we need most is for people to bring their vision and creative ideas into this program. Small projects involve helping identify workshops, regional seminars, and webinars for Certificate credit. A larger project would be to evaluate the program and consider how it should evolve - should the Certificate only last x many years and need to be renewed? If so, how many years, and what would be the requirement for renewal? The biggest project involves working with the PTP and ISSTD Board to build bridges between us and graduate schools. What if a few graduate schools would give some amount of credit for ISSTD Certificate Program participation? Might we be able to exchange an undergrad curriculum created by ISSTD for students in that graduate school to be able to receive a certain amount of credits for attending ISSTD PTP courses? PTP courses are at post-graduate level, so the grad school would get an ISSTD developed course (with ISSTD holding the copyright), and the school would reciprocate by allowing their students to get a certain amount of school credits for continuing their education by taking the PTP courses.
