The Head GSI will do the usual GSI duties (attend lecture, teach section, hold office hours, attend GSI meetings) but will teach only 1 section and will have reduced grading responsibilities. In exchange, the Head GSI will manage all requests for DSP and other PS & exam accommodations, all enrollment questions, and will coordinate with the course assistant to be sure copying and scanning is completed in a timely manner. The Head GSI will coordinate with Preston to assign GSIs to sections. Finally, the Head GSI will oversee any coordination & copying of section exercises that the GSIs wish to use, but will not be responsible for writing or editing the section exercises. There may be additional minor tasks asked of the Head GSI, but always with an eye toward what is reasonable & falls within the ASE contract.

Position is about helping visiting BESAP undergraduates adapt to their time at Berkeley. Duties include weekly office hours and 1 hour classes (some "classes" are social events like hike to big C, campus tour, etc). Some events take place off-campus and on evenings/weekends. Good for someone with a flexible student looking for relatively whole numbers who needs fee remission.

Only takes place during first two-thirds of semester. Attendance at 375 sessions mandatory. Outside of 375 sessions, need to videotape every student at a section once, and then review the video with them (reviews are very short, ~5 minutes)
