Breakside BrewingClear Creek DistilleryGrow A PearBreakside and Clear Creek are excited to present our pairing of Clear Creek Pear Brandy and Bricolage, a Belgian pale ale conditioned with Brettanomyces or "Brett."  The beer is extremely dry and effervescent with notes of leather, grass, and stone fruit.  The soft sweetness of the brandy balances the dry, minerality of the beer and the beautiful pear notes enhance the aroma.  This pearing, while served at a fest in February, will transport you right to a sun-bleached orchard in the late summer.Bricolage6.7%8Pear Brandy80

Cascade BrewingThomas and Sons DistilleryKriek on a LeashThis is a mulled sour beer with a local fernet, served warm with a touch of honey and orange. The robust cherry character of the Kriek holds up remarkably well to the herbal brightness of the Townshend’s Fernet.  Let’s call it a humble symphony of aromas and flavor that goes a little something like “Da boom na da noom na namena”Glueh Kriek8.0%Pacific Northwest Fernet80

Migration BrewingHouse SpiritsFrankie Goes WestThis dynamic pairing was deliberately, literally made for each other. A portion of 2015 Frankie Claws was aged in a Westward Single Malt cask and when it was finished the cask returned to House Spirits. There, a 4 year Westward was transferred from its original cask into the stout cask received back from Migration. That whiskey spent 8 months finishing with delicious residuals from the Belgian Imperial Chocolate Stout it had housed previously. Migration has unearthed a keg of 2015 Frankie to pair with HSD's stout cask finished Westward Whiskey known as M1 exclusively for Brewstillery 2017. Roasted malt, chocolate, and vanilla notes abound when sipping these two together, leaving a warming and long finish of caramelized sugar and raisin. Bosom buddies doesn't even begin to describe it.Frankie Claus 201511.8%60

Wild Ride BrewingCamp 1805 DistilleryForced Over the FallsDownstream Whiskey displays notes of vanilla and chocolate as a result of aging in barrels.  Force Stout showcases flavors and aromas of roasted barley, chocolate, and has a touch of sweetness from the malts the beer is brewed with.  These flavors blend well together as the chocolate notes in both offerings create a harmony, as well as the hints of roast meeting with the char from barrel aging.  As any good whiskey will display a little heat from the alcohol, the sweetness of the beer will smooth it out.   These complementary flavors create a perfect pairingForce Stout7.0%55Downstream Whiskey94
