9 | (5/20 & 5/21) The state of IL is launching a new program to provide food assistance during the summer for families with children who qualify for free or reduced-price meals at school. It provides qualifying families with a one-time benefit of $120 per child that can be used to buy groceries during the summer months. 11 | If you did not meet the exam exemption criteria for attendance and discipline you were sent an email. Final grade pull for exemptions is today. If you do not meet the grade criteria, you will also be notified via email. It is your responsibility to know your exemption status. Final exams are an excellent opportunity to raise your grade so be prepared for them. Also, those students who may be exempt from finals can still take them to raise a grade. TCB and go for the higher grade, you will be glad you did. | |

13 | Students...Over the last few weeks, there have been many reports of student "Pulleying" behaviors. Instead of the way students at other schools bully, you wonderful, confident, and kind Trojans have each other's backs, and "Pulley" each other through things like kindness, support, inclusion, and "upstanding." The reports over the last few weeks have included MHS students supporting their fellow Trojans through things like giving academic support, personal and emotional support, help with health-related matters, and more. Way to go, Trojans! We celebrate and commend y'all for being such great "Pullies." | |
