We will learn about and discuss different types of investments while playing a simulator of the stock market.

Story Club
We will write short stories from many genres (including options for writing comic strips and stories in narrative poetry), workshop to make them better, and read each others stories!

National Junior Honor Society (assistant)
NJHS is for those 8th grade students who were inducted at the end of the 2018-2019 school year.

FFA
The Primary goal of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of its members by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.

Art Club
Let’s get creative! What can we draw, paint, build, shape, & create? Art is for everyone! Let your imagination flow.

Fitness Club
I will plan a workout and we will do circuit workouts. There will be 10 different stations and you will do a different exercise at each station. Be sure to bring a water bottle and wear appropriate clothes to exercise in if you plan on coming, and be ready to work up a sweat!

Cursive Handwriting
Have you ever wanted to learn cursive so you could sign your name correctly? Or you just want to learn how the rest of the world writes? Join me for Cursive Handwriting to learn how to read and write in cursive.

School Newsletter/paper
Students will work on a newsletter/paper that cover school sports and other events: editors, photographers.

Origami Club
Origami club will create a variety of projects using folding techniques. No experience necessary. Origami has many benefits like developing eye hand co-ordination, and sequencing skills.

Kickball Club
Learn the art of kickball while being active and engaged in physical activity.

Seats for Safety Community Project
Seats for Safety would provide an opportunity for students to use their artistic abilities to create chairs that would be auctioned off in the spring with the proceeds going to Families Living Violence Free

Team Handball
Enjoy your Team Handball Experiences with your friends and get plenty of exercise!

Reading Club
Students will read book of their choice, share and trade books with others.

Sewing
The sewing club will teach basics of how to sew. This includes sewing on buttons, and sealing small rips in seams. We will also make a small pillow from small pieces of fabric.

Chess
If you would like to learn more about the CLASSIC game of chess, join the club!

Career and College Awareness
Career Inventories, Research various careers and learn about colleges.

Community Club
Students in Community Club will help build spirit and community at Hawley and in our community. We will organize pep rallies, build community and spirit at home games, and organize spirit week. We will also provide community outreach with can drives, coat drives, and reach other local needs in Creedmoor.

Hawley Cross-Stitichers
Students will learn how to create patterns on fabric using a needle and embroidery thread. Basic supplies will be provided.

Band Club
Do you need extra help on your instrument? Do you want to play music with your friends? If so, come join the band club!

Coloring Club
Students will relax, unwind, and color their stress away while listening to calming music.

Quiz Bowl
As an academic competition team, we'll have fun while getting ready to compete at regional, state, and nationwide tournaments! Members should be ready to learn, practice teamwork, and hone their quick thinking skills. If you have a wide AND deep interest in a variety of subjects, this could be the club for you!
