AlamedaAccepting permits - since late June, 2021In Oct 12, 2020 Health Committee meeting, Supervisors Chan and Carson directed the health department to come back with a plan for implementation at the Nov 23 meeting. Two stakeholders meetings held. On Nov 23 the BOS Health Committee forwrded the item to the full BOS for passage of an ordinance., likely in December, but as yet unscheduled Expect to be issuing permits in Q2 2021.

On May 4, 2021 the county adopted an ordinance permitting MEHKOs! A mandatory 2nd hearing is scheduled for May 18, and if there are no problems, it will take effect in 30 days. Anticipate that the county will start accepting applications on or about July 1. May 18th 2nd reading was uneventful.
