PLEASE NOTE: PSI is no longer updating this tracker. However, all who wish may feel free to make use of the resource or change it as needed. Impacts of COVID-19 on U.S. Plastics Policies

Guidelines for updating this tracker:
5
1 - Please do not delete anything! If new information invalidates a cell or you believe data has been reported incorrectly, please highlight the cell in yellow and make any comments in the notes column.
6
Someone from PSI will make sure the issue is addressed. We want to ensure that past data can be preserved for any future archival work.
7
2 - Feel free to add any new information that you believe to be relevant on any of the tabs - this is intended to be a living document and as such there is no need to run any updates by PSI.
8
3 - You must include a link to a source. If possible, we would like this to be a direct source (such as an executive order) but indirect sources (such as news articles) work as a last resort.
9
4 - When adding data, please fill in as many columns as possible based on the source you are providing. If any column is unclear, feel free to highlight the cell in yellow and someone from PSI will make sure it is filled in with the correct information.
10
5 - The keywords for the status column on the Bag Bans/Fees tabs are as follows:
11
Pending - the change has yet to come into effect.
12
Remains Delayed/Lifted/Banned - the current change remains in place, whether through delay of legislation, lifting of a current policy, or a newly imposed ban.
13
Expired/Rescinded - the change has either expired (such as the ending of a state of emergency) or been rescinded through more recent government action (such as a city council ordinance).
14
6 - For the News Coverage tab, we would strongly prefer news articles over editorials or opinion pieces - please keep this in mind when adding a new piece of news to this tab.
15
However, if you would like to include an editorial, please indicate that this article is an opinion piece in the "Article Type" column.
16
7 - The past data in the Impacts Over Time tab is locked to editing to archive changes in policy. However, if there is any inaccuracy, feel free to describe and highlight in yellow in the "Notes" column. Someone from PSI will address the issue.
17
If you would like to add new data, feel free to edit the Current Status column and add any new entries to the Bag Bans/Fees tab. PSI will ensure that the two tabs have the same data points.
