Mammoth - A Climate Action Cinema
0.11Bike ZoneMammoth - A Climate Action cinema is a community hub hosting screenings and events related to the climate emergency to inspire action and local mobilisation. We will be bringing our pedal-powered little cinema to the festival, and engage the public with powering the screenings (and other electrical devices) by bike, reflecting on the role of energy in our everyday life. A solar panel will be there for people to gauge how easier it is to let the sun do the job! There will be boards for visitors to interact with, showing different ideas for climate action that can be taken in our everyday life (mainly meant for people who are starting out on their journey of mobilization and/or a good reminder for all). We will bring a petition pushing for safe biking routes to schools in Nottingham, and an A-frame for people to express their thoughts and ideas around creating a Car-free day for the city centre.https://mammothcinema.uk/

Pedals: Nottingham Cycle Campaign0.12Bike ZonePedals is a voluntary organisation which campaigns for a cycle-friendly Nottingham, to encourage and enable cycling, so that anyone can make safe and enjoyable journeys by bike. We shall be communicating the climate change agenda by encouraging people to ride their bikes in their day to day lives. This reduces the reliance of car usage. Transport contributes a huge amount to our emissions so travelling in an appropriate way is necessary. We will have campaigners on the stall to talk to people about what practically can be done on an individual level to cycle more and what can be done on a wider level to allow more cycling. We will have some flyers and information leaflets to give out. We hope to have a Dr Bike ourselves or be in close proximity to one held by a fellow cycling group. Pedals hopes to organise a group ride to Nottingham Green Festival enabling attendees to travel to the event by bike! pedals.org.ukpedalsnottinghampedalsnottshttps://bsky.app/profile/pedals.org.uk@PedalsNottm

Veganitis53Lime Tree AvenueCaribbean influenced home cooked 100% vegan catering. Hot vegan meals, snacks, homemade jerk sauce and possibly desserts. Our mission for Veganitis is to provide locally sourced and supplied ingredients. We do not use single use plastics, petrol generators or animal products (including honey). Where possible, helpers on our stall are encouraged to travel together, use public transport or walk where possible as a means to getting to the event. Our aim has always been to promote and encourage a plant-based approach to cuisine from a Caribbean background, eliminating the use of all animal products, which in turn reduces the negative impact on the environment. From customer feedback, we have seen an increase in non-vegan/vegetarians being more open to trying and enjoying our plant-based alternatives in turn being able to make changes in their own diet, lifestyle and views on environmental issues.veganitismealsVeganitis_meals

Members carry out non-professional jobs for one another and we are paid in Time Credits rather than money, which we bank so we can spend them on services from other members. We also hold social events and outings. On the day we will be informing visitors on what we do and joining people, using leaflets and a tablet. We will also be holding a fundraising Tombola and Bric-a-Brac stall with second hand items and books. Silver Forager69Lime Tree NorthI make jewellery and ornaments from seaglass collected around the coast of the UK; each piece of seaglass is unique and the designs are influenced by the seaglass pieces themselves. When visiting the beach to collect the seaglass I use in my products I ensure I collect and dispose of any more damaging rubbish, eg plastic, cans, etc, as well as seaglass and driftwood.  In terms of communicating the climate change agenda I will discuss the importance of reusing and repurposing of what others may think of as rubbish, as well as metals such as silver, with visitors to my stall.  I'll also explain the importance of supporting local small businesses who can reduce the impact on the environment in terms of transport and delivery impact. thesilverforagerthesilverforager

Green Runners89Chestnut CrescentThe Green Runners are Runners who love the environment and Environmentalists who love to run. Our fundamental 4 pillars are: How we move. How we kit up. How we eat. How we speak out. We hope to engage in discussion around these pillars and encourage others to join us in our mission to make running more sustainable for our planet. Our stall would include a pledge wall where visitors can pledge personal actions to reduce the impact of their activities on the environment. Potentially we could carry out free minor running shoes repairs. A potential for a short guided run around the festival site (limited numbers to ensure no negative impact).thegreenrunners.com

Food for a Future90.1Family zoneSnappy vegan cookery demos in the lovely Food for a Future marquee up on the grassy slope. We are a volunteer vegan cookery demo group. We aim to share and encourage people to switch to a vegan lifestyle, as this is the most impactful action an individual can do to reduce their environmental impact - taking into account carbon emissions, land use, water and resources. It is also the most kind choice towards fellow animals on earth. We buy ingredients from ethical sources when possible and choose organic when possible. We give out food samples in compostable cups. We are careful to organise our waste so we compost and recycle what we can. foodforafuturefoodforafuture@FoodforaFuture

Waldorf Home Ed hub99Family zoneWaldorf inspired home education hub for children 5-12. We are planning to promote our hub, displaying examples of the work done and easy natural crats for children to do similar to those that they'd do in the hub. Our stall is an opportunity to find out more about waldorf education and the potential benefits for the child and their family. We are a small organisation born out of the closure of the last Waldorf school in the East Midlands in 2024. Children's activities will include handwork (crafts) using natural (vegan) materials and opportunities to chat with waldorf tutors. With a desire to support the home-ed community, we will be providing a calm environment where children can focus on developing a skill. Our stall will uphold the ethos of the festival through being no-impact, no energy and no waste.thegreenwoodyew.org.uk
