Nottinghamshire Trades Council (TUC)We are an umbrella organisation for trades unions in the area. We will be distributing information leaflets from our stall and responding to questions about the trades council's work. We take the responsibilities of the trade union movement to the climate crisis very seriously, seeing it as an integral part of trade union work. We have established a climate officer to coordinate our activities in this area and support trade unions having environmental reps. We have supported a number of initiatives over the years, including this year and are always open to guest speakers from campaigns around 'green' issues.16Bandstand Path

Pedals: Nottingham Cycle CampaignPedals is a voluntary organisation which campaigns for a cycle-friendly Nottingham, to encourage and enable cycling, so that anyone can make safe and enjoyable journeys by bike. We shall be communicating the climate change agenda by encouraging people to ride their bikes in their day to day lives. This reduces the reliance of car usage. Transport contributes a huge amount to our emissions so travelling in an appropriate way is necessary. We will have campaigners on the stall to talk to people about what practically can be done on an individual level to cycle more and what can be done on a wider level to allow more cycling. We will have some flyers and information leaflets to give out. We hope to have a Dr Bike ourselves or be in close proximity to one held by a fellow cycling group. Pedals hopes to organise a group ride to Nottingham Green Festival enabling attendees to travel to the event by bike! Purple Pumpkin PatchLocally handknitted and crocheted items from acrylic yarn, and fabric sewn cushions and gifts by a group of local crafters. Our best selling items at the Green Festival are reusuable fabric gift bags made from upcycled material, fabric kitchen aprons for adults and children, peg bags for hanging laundry to air dry, and also our vegan yarns and gifts made from them. From these items being our best sellers, we are helping with air drying laundry which reduces the use of electricity from tumble drying, waste going to landfill from using single use plastic coated gift bags, and home cooking which avoids single use plastics and food waste. Refugee Forum, Nottm & NottsOur mission is to support asylum seekers and refugees in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire in gaining just outcomes, rebuilding their lives and integrating into society. Helping/supporting and welcoming asylum seekers and refugees to Nottingham and helping them feel safe. Refugees, internally displaced people and stateless persons are on the frontlines of the climate emergency. Many are living in ‘climate change hotspots’, like Pakistan and the Horn of Africa, where the risk of extreme weather events is increasing but they typically lack the resources to adapt to an increasingly inhospitable environment". Silver ForagerI make jewellery and ornaments from seaglass collected around the coast of the UK; each piece of seaglass is unique and the designs are influenced by the seaglass pieces themselves. When visiting the beach to collect the seaglass I use in my products I ensure I collect and dispose of any more damaging rubbish, eg plastic, cans, etc, as well as seaglass and driftwood.  In terms of communicating the climate change agenda I will discuss the importance of reusing and repurposing of what others may think of as rubbish, as well as metals such as silver, with visitors to my stall.  I'll also explain the importance of supporting local small businesses who can reduce the impact on the environment in terms of transport and delivery impact. 69Lime Tree Norththesilverforagerthesilverforager
