BIO (Formal)Chloé Desaulles is a NYC-based, Alsatian (France) raised creative director, strategist, computational filmmaker and researcher. Her practice is drawn towards how emerging technologies can be used to tell intentional stories about people and the worlds we inhabit. Through the process of gathering, tinkering, dissecting and reassembling, she is interested in constructing frameworks where the digital and analog can interact in complementary ways, often exploring the digital archiving of memories, natural environments and the concept of home. Her film work has been featured internationally in festivals and galleries such as The Miller Institute for Contemporary Art, The Raw Science Film Festival (Academy Award Eligible) or The New York Independent Film Festival. She holds an interdisciplinary degree in Neuroscience and Electronic Media Arts from Carnegie Mellon University under the mentorship of media arts pioneer Golan Levin. She has since then created commission based works for esteemed clients in fashion, music, entertainment and tech, such as The New York Times R&D, Apple, Versace, Alicia Keys, 032c or Black Dog Films. She is based out of her studio in New York City.
