Decision
Kirk is slow to respond. Price is very high and quote is not detailed. Found new contact - Jason is more responsive. Talked to the city Zoning - 24sqft, night dimming, and arch. board review required. Jason delivered comprehensive quote.

Fifth Grade Hallway Renovation
Gut and re-establish the fifth grade corridor. This may or may not be in concert with the fifth grade team though would hope they'd weigh in. Replace the wall hangings, change wall color and address lighting. Bathroom refresh. Artistic / painted murals on bathroom doors. Bulletin boards with updated, positive messaging. Or remove them all together and replace with painted quotations or pictures of the kids hung to create the word LEADERS. Celebrate students and their final year in the elementary school. Focus on their seniority, emphasis on leadership within the school and preparedness for middle school.

Fey Parrill
Diversity Committee
$500-1000, see link in explanation
Although we won't use it often, would make some events much easier (BBQ), and people might use it more if we had one. Would have to make room in shed for storage. This one is cheap but got good reviews: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Nexgrill-Deluxe-6-Burner-Propane-Gas-Grill-in-Slate-with-Ceramic-Searing-Side-Burner-720-0896B/206362574

District Equity
Spread it around
Fey Parrill
Diversity Committee
$500-1000, see link in explanation
There are big differences across the district in resources. While we forsee some issues with this item given that donors are often told money is for students at RoxEl, the equity position is that a stronger district benefits students at RoxEL.
