VAPACPMA’s Night of Stars is just a few weeks away! Come see CPMA’s Advanced performance groups as well as support our silent auction. Show day is October 30 at 6:30pm. Tickets are on sale now.

School Choice applications are due by Nov 13. You MUST submit a CHOICE application unless you are planning to attend your neighborhood school. CPMA students wishing to attend Madison High School MUST submit a CHOICE application unless you live in the Madison neighborhood zone.

Z-passes must be used by all students who ride the bus. If you don't have your z-pass go to room 201 during lunch to order a new one or get a termporary. In the morning if you don't have a z-pass you should talk to the staff member in the loading area when you arrive. In the afternoon when boarding the bus if you don't have a z-pass you must board last, show something with your name, sit near the front, and possibly wait by the bus till a school official allows you on the bus.

Support
CASSAS - ( Core Academy ) Offered on select Saturdays, Core Academy provides academic support for English, Math, History and Science to struggling students. Signups are available online or in the main office.

TUTORING Offered Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 - 5 pm in the Library. Students must sign up in advance in the main office to attend. Late busses are available for students attending tutoring.

Team ASB!Come by the ASB table at lunch to make your music requests for us to play at lunch time on Fridays throughout the school year. We only play appropriate language and content songs. Also, be sure to sign up to win prizes and rewards for participating in our Friday activities!

Our annual CPMA food drive beings Oct. 1! Please bring at least 2 canned or boxed food items to any classroom and place in the labeled donation bag! Thank you for your kindness and generosity! Our collection days are: Oct. 11, Oct. 25, and Nov. 8.

Our Fall Dance is November 28 from 3:30-5:00. Late busses will be available! There will be our awesome DJ, Bernie, and lots of music, food, drinks and prize give-a-ways throughout the dance! You must have a 2.0 in both citizenship and academics in order to qualify to purchase a ticket. Tickets are $6.00 at the financial office and go on sale beginning Nov. 1. The last day to buy a ticket will be Nov. 26. Don’t miss out since only a limited number of tickets will be sold for this event!

Clubs:Join the Low Downs - CPMA’s after-school choir for low voices. All students and staff are invited to participate! Low singers from Madison and CPMA will come together every Thursday afternoon from 4 to 5 pm in the CPMA Choir Room (504) to make music and friendships. Performance opportunities! Bring a friend! Late buses available. The will be a Boomers fundraising event on Friday November 9th, hosted by the 8th Grade Advisory team. The vent will be from 5-7pm. Get unlimited rides for 2hrs for just $20!! All grade levels and friends and family of CPMA are welcome!! Make sure to mention you are there with CPMA to get this special rate!

Don’t forget: Mini Grant deadline is October 15th. You can put your grant request in our PTSA box in the office or e-mail at CPMA.PTSA@gmail.com You can email us if you need another copy of the application.

Students - There is still time! You can unleash your inner artist by creating an essay, art piece, photograph, film or dance and submit it to the PTA Reflections contest. This year's theme is "Heroes Around Me," Ask your teacher for more info or get an application in the front office. Show us your awesomeness by Nov. 2nd.

Turn Box Tops in to the designated box in the main office before October 26th.

The Scholastic Book Fair will be November 13-16. Check back soon for volunteer sign ups and other details.

The purpose of the CPMA Governance Team is to assure involvement of staff, parents and community in site decisions that alter the educational structure and process of the school and work environment. The procedures utilized in this document shall be designed so that those affected by a decision participate, either directly, or through representation of their own choosing. The ultimate goal is the improvement of student achievement.

Meetings* are open to anyone interested in participating.
