1		Questions you have regarding Fall 2020 school re-opening	Responses- Please note these are just FYI and NOT to be shared with anyone outside of our campus or BISD. 13	6	Are we allowed to have the kids sit on the carpet?	No this will not be a practice that will be continued at this time

15	7	Can they use shared materials like math manipulatives, science experiments, and technology?	they will need to be cleaned after use

17	8	Will we still have a duty-free lunch?	that is the plan but more info to come

19	9	Are the students under 10 required to wear masks?	Yes per Gov. Abbott today

21	10	What is the expectation as far as team-planning? Wear masks and stay 6 feet apart?	Yes

23	11	Can we get screens on the windows so we can open them for air-flow as the TEA papers suggest?	WCE windows dont open as far as I know

25		Is there an alternative plan or considerations that are in the place for the TEAMS classroom? Since students are prone to spitting and violence?	a plan for this will be coming from Sp Ed
26		Will the TEAMS teachers be a part of this planning?
27		Do we need to remove every personal furniture item? Or can we leave daily use items such as our teacher desk chair/kidney table stools for students/book shelves/fans for classroom library?	Yes you can leave those but any decorative chairs, couches, lofts, anything that woudl be used as a place to lounge

29		Is there a certain tape that we can use on the floor to mark 6 ft spaces for our classrooms? Duct tape peels up and looks tacky. So, I'm wondering if there's an alternative.	yes a plan for this will be coming

31		What will the specials schedule look like?	a plan for this will be coming I will be aksing for help and input on this

34		What will happens in the event that a student or teacher is diagnosed with COVID? Will all of us the be required to quarantine for 14 days? If so, what happens regarding student learning? The teacher part may be addressed in the question above regarding disability, but definitely wondering about out sick days given these unusual circumstances.	There are specific preoceudres for this that will be shared with staff

36		I am hoping and expecting that BISD will be sharing more details with us as teachers and staff. There seems to be a lot of details to work out. Should we learn the "new normal" during our PD week in August or before then?	Yes BISD sent an email today to staff letting them know that additional info will be coming
37		Do we have to wear the provided shields and masks or can we purchase and use our own?	I will ask
38		Will the public notice of COVID-19 cases be similar to the form/email we sent home for flu/strep/lice when we had nurse Kari?	yes that is correct the class will get a letter just like lice
39		Is there a plan/system for teachers and staff who are not following protocol?	Yes there will be an expectaiosn for ALL to follow social distancing guideliens as role model of the campous we all must adhere to the gudielines set fro the safety of all staff
40		Will we do away with perfect attendance awards? Will we do away with Celebration of Kids in general?	Right now we are not allowed to have assemblies.. Operations committee will be vital in getting feedback from staff /teams about any rewards moving forward
41		I think we could agree that our cafeteria is already crowded and understaffed- what will that look like? There have been many ideas discussed in the news and online- but what is the plan for WCE?	a plan for this will be coming I will be aksing for help and input on this
42		Does our campus have a representative on teh districts reopening committee? teacher? parent?	BISD will be openig up teacher questions for a BISD FAQ. The committee I was on prior to summer break had representatives from teacehr ans parents but not WCE. There is not way every committee can have a teacher adn parent form all school represented.
43		What is GATE going to look like?	Most likely they will stay on campus
44		What will WIN time look like?	a plan for this will be coming I will be aksing for help and input on this
45		When will be able to enter the buidling to take the lofts down?	Please contact me directly to set this up at your convenience
46		When will teachers be able to get into classrooms?	I'm waiting on BISD to release this info.
47		How many students should we expect in each class? Is BISD considering lowering the ratio due to COVID?	Parents are being asked as they register if they want face to face or online to help us with this question

49		Will students (especially K-2) be able to sit in labeled sit spots separated safely on the tile so they are not at desks the whole day (thinking of read alouds)?	I beleive this is a great idea

52		Should grade levels alter school supply lists to make items personal rather than communal?	These have already been sent out on BISD websites and publisehd so they cant be changed now we will adjust as needed

54		What will classroom switching look like for 3-5?	More than likley it will be the teacher switching not the students

56		Is BISD hiring more custodial staff for campuses to keep up with disinfecting restrooms and shared spaces in the building?	I haven't gotten any info about this at this point

59		Besides the outdoor hand sanitizers, will they be installed other places throughout the building? Will we have them in our classrooms?	There will be a total of 50 around the building. There will not be any inside classrooms but more in the common areas of travel

61		Will we still have BOB? Will we have tryouts for a team and practices as usual?	I do not have any answer for this at this time. BISD will give us direction as we get closer

63		Is our dismissal and arrival system changing?	Yes it will need to be tweaked to allow for smaller volume of students in each area
