Each Local Association President is required to complete an annual report. The information provided will be

used to determine the annual CSMTA Local Association of the Year Award, which will be presented a the

Local Association Luncheon during the CSMTA Conference. The association chosen as CSMTA Local

Association of the Year will be eligible to submit an application to MTNA for the National Association of the
7
Year, which offers a cash award.

Yes. Several teachers use the Piano Marvel program and several music apps, including Piano Maestro; we incorporate the use of technology in meetings. Most recent discussions have included how to incorporate the iPad into the studio, including music writing and theory apps. We have a website and are encouraging teachers to use the internet and our website for furthering their use of technology with their students. We have a facebook page as well and have posted excerpts of Fall Festival performances in the past.

We did not submit a teacher of the year this year. Our memorial fund is used to defray expenses for any members' students who represent CSMTA in divisional or national auditions.

Fliers are placed at various locations to encourage attendance at all student events. We have a website, which includes our student activity events. We are also sponsored with three local area schools to advertise our group for music lessons and community involvement. A monthly announcement is posted in a local newspaper of our meetings & programs

Meetings open to public. We had several visitors and a few became new members this year. Donations are made to through our recitals to a local music store committed to music advocacy.
