| Box Office | Geelong West | This is such a great cafe - there is booth seating, some of which is quite restrictive, but the biggest table outside on the end is very generous and fits an AU30 comfortably
| Hold Bar & Eatery | 87 Fletcher St, Essendon VIC 3040 | Female run bar & restaurant showcasing female winemakers, distillers and brewers. Friendly and fun!

| Prahan Public Pool | 41 Essex St, Prahran VIC 3181 | Was definitley the biggest person there at an AU30 but the pool is super easy to get into with wide steps and a rail to hold. Lots of places to put your stuff close to the pool so you don't have to walk too far in your bathers. The staff are super nice too. Just a warning that you may have to park a little way away and have to walk - roughly 100m. You can pull up into a driveway to offload and then park elsewhere if you needed to avoid any walking or had other accessibility needs.
| Elwood Beach | There's lots of parking close to the beach, although it is paid and gets super busy during hot weather but a good option if you want to be near a body of water and don't want to walk too far.
| Fitzroy Pool | 160 Alexandra Parade, Fitzroy, | Outside pool which is heated (well the chill is taken off it!). The two outside lanes are for aqua play, so even if you aren't a swimmer you can get in the water and bob around. One side has ramp access. The other only has a ladder. There are both sun louges and wide plastic chairs near the pool if you want to leave your bag or towel close by. Change rooms have a few change cubicles with doors and benches which are great if you need to sit down to change. Chill vibe and friendly staff.
| Ascot Vale Leisure Center | Epsom Road adn Langs Road AScot Vale | Smaller suburban indoor complex. I come for the hydro therapy pool, but there is a non swimming lane in the main pool tool. Both have ramp access. There are 2 saunas and a steam room. Very diverse clients and friendly atmosphere. Sunday night from 8-10pm is women only.
| Harold Holt Pools | 1413 High St, Glen Iris | Outdoor 50m pool has wide steps with rails on both sides of pool. Indoor 25m pool has wide steps with rails on one end of pools. Has hydrotherapy pool that also has wide steps with rails. Both indoor and outdoor spa has wide steps with rails. Has a sauna. Large changing rooms and showers with benches. An accessible change room with shower seat. Lift to go upstairs to their gym and private rooms where group classes are held. Very friendly staff and people of all ages and sizes go there. memberships prices are decent. Plenty of nearby parking in front of pool with close walking distance

| Cinemas | |||
| Name | Address/location | Details
| CinemaNova | Lygon St, Melbourne | Cinemas are smaller, seats are bigger. It feels like every cinema is gold class. Upstairs but there's an escalater and a lift
| Any newer Palace Cinemas | There is sometimes an option where you can see a film in one of the Platinum cinemas (their version of Gold Class) so the seats are super comfy but you pay regular prices and don't get the food options. Note: palace cinema Astor and Elsternwick both have narrow seats / not inclusive
| Penny Lane Cinema | Puckle St Moonee Ponds | A Palace Cinema -11 screens. Elevator/lift access to all floors. Each cinema has large recliner seats and a lot of leg room. Seating also in candy bar/ticket area
| Redding cinema | Altona North | gold class seats super comfy without the price tag of gold class
| Hoyts Cinema | All locations I think but definitely Docklands and Highpoint | All seating is recliners with smooth sides (suitable to at least AU28). The Highpoint one has a flight stairs to some of the rooms and I'm not sure if there's a lift. Hoyts also does sensory screenings that are more autism friendly, usually on Sundays.
| IMAX Carlton | Carlton next to Melbourne Museum | Chairs are all fold down, arm rests were tight for my size 26AU hips but also rests go up. Lots of stairs, but an escalator and lift option down into the cinema. Stairs within cinema though, but it seems like there are reserved accessible seats at the back row - it would be worth asking staff about
| Palace Cinema Pentridge | Pentridge | I am a size 22-24 and have no issue fitting in the seats at this cinema.

| Name | Address/location | Details
| Malthouse Theatre - Beckett Theatre | The Malthouse, 113 Sturt Street, Southbank VIC 3006 | NOT FAT FRIENDLY - seating is fold down with hard armrests. AU 26 and above are a no go, I literally sit on the stairs when I have to see a show there for work, otherwise I avoid it at all costs.
| Theatre Works | Corner of, 14 Acland Street, St Leonards Ave, St Kilda VIC 3182 | Seating banks are seat cushions with a fold up seat back, no arm rests. Not particularly comfortable but no problem fitting in as plus sized folk.
| Regent Theatre | Collins Street Melbourne | Seating is ok - can fit as an AU 26 body but not much leg room. Note there is a disabled toilet outside the stalls area. The dress circle is better for leg room, but not sure about accessibility for getting up there
| Plenary | South Wharf | Not Fat Friendly - seating is fold down and a bit squishy plus not a lot of leg room. My legs were killing me after 2 hours.
| Athenaeum Theatre | Collins Street Melbourne | Seats on ground floor are OK. Fold down but comfy. I'd try and get row G though as there is a walk way in front so no problem about leg room.
| Playhouse - Arts Centre | Melbourne | Up to a size 22 I think you'd be ok but after that you'd find it squishy. Definitely go for an isle seat.
| Hamer Hall - Arts Centre | Melbourne | Fold down seats but probably the best from the Arts Centre precinct. Have armrests but they don't dig in. Some seats towards the front on the ground floor have a double armrest which is wonderful. I would recommend this venue for up to size 28
| The Motley Bauhaus | Melbourne | Can't say how it's like in the other rooms but I recently visited the Black Box room and the seats were not fat friendly in the slightest. There was no arm chair adjustments or anything really other than a very small row of chairs. Probably some of the worst chairs Ive sat in unfortunately but hopefully they can change this in due course.
| Princess Theatre | Melbourne | The main seats are NOT fat friendly and there's not much spare leg room, however one of the ushers saw I was having a hard time and gave me a new seat at the back that was comfortable, so if you have to go, keep that in your pocket.
| Comedy Theatre | Melbourne CBD | Came here for a comedy show recently and the seats were not fat friendly. Nothing could be adjusted, you just had to sit in the seat if you could even fit to begin with and figure it out from there. As the show was ticketed I didn't have a say in where my ticket was located and thankfully got an aisle seat, but even then it didnt do much unfortunatley. Sides of the chair were sticking into my hips, couldn't fully recline etc.
| Her Majesty's Theatre | 219 Exhibition St (Melbourne CBD) | Has the best (most fat and height inclusive) seats of all the theatres showing musical theatre productions in the CBD (in my opinion as a tall and size 22-24 individual). The seats are comfortable for tall/long leg length, are fat friendly in width and decently well cushioned (I didn't feel the need to shift in the seat constantly to relieve pain from being squashed or adjust my legs, where I generally do in other seats like the princess). Parking close by available in a seperate parking garage with elevator access, but book ahead to ensure a spot as it does fill up (plus it's cheaper to pre-book). I have yet to notice accessible elevator access for the upper floors of the theatre. If you arrive early and need a place to sit, there is only unfortunately a very small amount of seating in the cafe on the ground floor, so best to grab a seat in one the surrounding cafes around the theatre building until it's time to be seated in the theatre. The ladies' bathrooms were decently sized, I did not have to do an awkward squashed turn in the stall to get around the door to get in and out.
| Malthouse (Tower) | Southbank, Melbourne | The entrance to this room is on the ground level however there are two flights of stairs then some more seperate stairs to get to the actual seating. The seating itself was alright for a size 24-26 like myself, a bit roomier than your normal comedy and theatre shows but again not the best which is to be expected with these kinds of shows.
| Melbourne Town Hall | Melbourne | Upper balcony seating has fixed arm rests, do not recommend. Did not test for size but asked to be moved to floor seats which are all separate chairs placed on the floor.

| Miss Jay's Nails and Beauty | 667 High street, Thornbury
| Forever Young Werribee | 7a Glen St, Werribee VIC 3030 | Not specifically fat friendly but I regularly go here as a AU30+ sized woman. Most (bar one, in my experience) of their tables are sturdy and roomy and I've never had any issues with the staff or felt uncomfortable / judged. I regularly get full body waxing (inc Brazilian), massages and other beauty treatments. Note: reception area chairs are too small for me but this doesn't bother me as they're on time with their appointments and I've never waited for longer than a few minutes to go through.
| T.O.M Nails | 1218 High St, Armadale | Non-judgemental, caring and kind staff. I have Lipedema and always get treated so kind and well by staff doing pedicure. Chair is comfy. Beds for waxing are sturdy for size 28+ and the ladies are extra attentive and remember most regular customers names. Book an appointment as mostly busy but walk ins are fine too. Lots of cafes and shops nearby to kill time if you have to wait.
| Wantirna Skin & Beauty | 3/322 Mountain Hwy, Wantirna VIC 3152 | Lovely all female owned and run beauty salon, offering waxing, manicures, pedicures, facials etc. I go there monthly for waxing, have been going for about 5 years now. Staff super friendly, always welcoming, never body shaming. I'm a size 22 and no problem fitting on the table.
| peninsula Hot Springs | 140 Springs Ln, Fingal VIC 3939 | Friendly and accommodating staff. Large change rooms and showers. Can request plus size robes when booking/at entry. People of all shapes and sizes here
| hair beauty creations | 231A Murrumbeena Rd, Murrumbeena VIC 3163 | https://www.instagram.com/ashleigh_haircreations/ friendly staff, big comfy chairs that I easily fit into (size 22). Never felt uncomfortable there emotionally or physically. Also do a GREAT blonde 😜
| Delilah Hair Studio | Lygon St, Brunswick East | The best curly hair stylists around!! I had Dani and they made me feel so comfortable and excited to be there. Note that the seats are not the widest or most comfortable, but as a size 24-26 I found I was able to sit comfortably enough for a 1 hour hair cut.
| Stable Massage | St Kilda | Amazing remidial massage, especially Chris, he’s a wizard!
| Body Freedom | South Melbourne | I’ve been to Body Freedom in South Melbourne multiple times and never felt uncomfortable. They use a massive doona to cover you so it always covers me I find at Endota they use towels and I’m not always covered. Only thing with Body Freedom is there are a lot of stairs but the staff always walk slowly up them so it hasn’t been an issue
