Juan Macíasjuanmacias.sierra@gmail.comAv. Universidad 1953, Delegación Coyoacán, Ciudad de México. ZIP. 04360MéxicoWord of mouthNoI'm interested on Internet governance because I am convinced that it is fundamental to defend Internet as an open and free technological
resource, something relevant to enable the social, economic and political development of countries.
Particularly, I have been involved on Internet governance´s topics since 2014 and, since the last semester, my engagement in those topics
grew while I was part of the organizer committee of the XI IGF in México. Such activity required to be in communication with the IGF community, like the IGF´Secretariat, some members of the MAG and with ISOC and the SIG Youth Observatory, of wich I am part.
My main reason for applying to become a member of the NCSG is because, from my academic background as a lawyer, I can be an active well-dispose to contribute with the group on the policy development process of ideas that provide an equilibrium among the commercial and non-commercial interests, a characteristic that is crucial to facilitate the exercise of human rights in Internet..

Ihtisham Khalid14mseeikhalid@seecs.edu.pkHouse # 248, Street # 24, Sector C, Askari 14, Adyala road, Rawalpindi Cantt 46000 PakistanPakistanConferenceNoI am an ICT trainer, graduate researcher and an academician, currently part of faculty of Electrical Engineering at National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences, Islamabad Pakistan. I attended 1st Pakistan School on Internet Governance (PKSIG) back in 2015 and that was my entry point in Internet governance arena. Later I attended ICANN 55 in Marrakesh as NextGen fellow and ICANN 57 as NextGen Ambassador. Also, I have been to Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy (APIGA) 2016 in Seoul, South Korea with support from ICANN and Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA). I also attended India School on Internet Governance (INSIG) 2016 in Hyderabad India. Using these experiences of attending national and foreign schools on IG, now I am managing secretariat of PKSIG as a member. We organized a very successful PKSIG in 2016 and now I am working as a steering committee member for PKSIG 2017 scheduled for November 2017.
While putting my efforts to supports ICANN’s mission to enhance engagement and multistakeholder community development, I wish to dedicate my time & energies to speak up for individual internet users concerns. I want to be the voice for noncommercial internet users and for this; I believe NCSG is the best suitable option under the ICANN multistakeholder model. I wish to contribute to the ICANN’s policy development process for domain names in a more formal and indulged form. I have attended NCSG sessions during ICANN 57 in India and I founded it quite interesting that how members interact with each other on every agenda item that somehow relates to non commerciality. I like the way every member was provided the opportunity to speak up in a consensus driven process.
