Reached Melaine with some specific questions re Governor's stance on the cap, congestion pricing, LIRR Fare increases, accounting practices detailed in NY Post editoriall. Told her of the Town Hall for Democracy question-solicitation/online - reply feature. Asked about turnaround time for well posed questions submitted by fax. She said usually about a week. This suggests that there may be very real value in Indivisible Groups working to develop a number of very specific questions that individuals would fax on a schedule like these phone calls. The replies could then be published online on a page that would indicate quesiton, when asked, and awaiting answer. Melanie was helpful and indicated that once a question is asked in writing, the person asking can follow-up by telephone. After long hold with option #2 left VM with option #1. I added that property tax caps seem to me as give-aways to the wealthy.

Pressed 2, on hold for only a few seconds, Melanie in the office answered and spoke with me promised to deliver my message and double checked she had my zipcode correct.

Spoke to Melanie after a short hold, asked her to give a message to Gov. based on script. She said she'd be happy to give it and asked again for my zip code.
