1. Sign up NOW (under sample script) for a time-slot to call Governor Andrew Cuomo. You will be calling MONDAY MARCH 25th
2. On MONDAY 3/25 call using a version of the script below.
3. Record your name, email, group (if any), zip code & notes in the following columns.
The Governor portrays himself as a progressive leader. Each year in his State of State address, he talks a big game, but fails to deliver in a meaningful way, if at all.
WIth the historic Democratic majority in place, this year CAN be different. We need the Governor to get
out of the way, allow the Ultra-Rich to pay their fair share, and fully fund Public Education, Public Campaign Finance (Small Donor Matching) and Voting Reforms.
PLEASE FOLLOW @MAKENYTRUEBLUE AND LIKE, RETWEET & SHARE OUR POSTS THROUGHOUT THE DAY

|MONDAY: CALL (518) 474-8390 - SAMPLE SCRIPT|
Hi my name is _________, from zip code ___________.
Governor, your budget fails New York and its People. With the explosion of wealth, New York’s economy is strong for the 1%.
The ultra-wealthy must pay their fair share for Public Education, Voting Reforms and Small Donor Public Financing
Drop your expense cap and negotiate in good faith. Stop making excuses to avoid delivering on your State of the State priorities.
We will be watching closely.

Reached Melaine with some specific questions re Governor's stance on the cap, congestion pricing, LIRR Fare increases, accounting practices detailed in NY Post editoriall. Told her of the Town Hall for Democracy question-solicitation/online - reply feature. Asked about turnaround time for well posed questions submitted by fax. She said usually about a week. This suggests that there may be very real value in Indivisible Groups working to develop a number of very specific questions that individuals would fax on a schedule like these phone calls. The replies could then be published online on a page that would indicate quesiton, when asked, and awaiting answer. Melanie was helpful and indicated that once a question is asked in writing, the person asking can follow-up by telephone.
