The concept of distance modulus is convoluted and unnecessary. Just report irradiance (W/m^2), distance without adjusting for redshift (based on irradiance alone), and distance with adjusting for redshift (based on irradiance scaled up by f_emit/f_obs, then multiply initial distance estimate by sqrt(f_obs/f_emit)).

It is worth noting the model does not perfectly fit the data. Either the model is inaccurate, or the object distance data error increases with distance, or the object cosmic redshift component data error increases with distance.

The supernovae data is from the research group that claimed dark energy (Perlmutter). And what was behind the dark energy claim was the observation that at far distances (more than 10 Gly), supernovae are about 30% farther away than expected.

But that claim and data need to be reevaluated because dark energy has been falsified (Sarkar).

The supernovae brightness had high uncertainty (wide error bars on the object distance), and the supernovae were from looking in only one hemisphere.

So if that 30% extra distance is false, then that undoes the rightward stretch of the blue dots..... good for the e^(-d / 13.8 Gly) model.
