|This is an informal, easy sign-up for the print trade that is to take place during our mid-September meetup (exact date/time TBD, but likely in Eagle Rock/Glassell Park area on Sept. 14). If you can't make the date for any reason, but still want to participate in the print trade, I can take your prints and/or hold your prints for whenever everyone can meet again in the future. We would simply need your prints before that meetup date.|
RULES: None. EXCEPT:
1.) Must be willing to bring at least an 8 x 10 of any image you want for each person participating (up to 30 max, likely less). Size exceptions made for real darkroom prints. It IS acceptable to print a smaller image on an 8 x 10 page and use the negative space, but please frame up appropriately.
2.) Color, B&W, etc...all up to you.
3.) While you don't have to get any type of print specifically, it would be great if it could be of reasonable quality (please no plain-paper low-quality prints your mother would make — unless your mother is a pro photographer ;-)). You can get cheap, but still amazing prints at a variety of places. We also have a few people that are willing to print for people at cost with their home photo printers. Contact us well in advance (i.e. at least before August 25th) if interested in that.
4.) IMPORTANT: Please email me your image (email@example.com) with your name and IG handle and/or website AT LEAST 3 days before we meet. I will make a sort of glossary with thumbnails for everyone so we all know who did what. If you would like to mark your image, please keep it light and in pencil on the BACK to keep the front clear OR mark it in the border area if you have a border on your 8 x 10. Your choice.
If this list exceeds 30 people (row 33+), we will split the group in two. In that case: If you're in an even row, you're group 1. If you're in an odd row, you're group 2. If the list does NOT hit row 33, the total number of people to print for will be the last row number minus 2. If it's two groups, take the last row, subtract 2, then divide by two (i.e. if list ends on 44, subtract 2 to get 42, then divide by 2 to get 21 prints needed for your group). If dividing by two gives a non-whole number, round up for group 1 and round down for group 2. This is to make it so people don't have to make a ridiculous number of prints. If you want to play it safe, feel free to bring a couple extra. This list will be closed ten days prior to the print trade meetup (September 4 at 11:59 PM).
