Booking Rules
4
5
Boats can be booked up to 1 week in advance on this sheet if they are open to booking (Y). Only the captain can approve bookings more than 1 week ahead eg for regattas
6
All boats: on Monday, you can book one boat for one session on both Saturday and Sunday. From wedensday onwards you can book whatever slots are left.
7
Although booking is on a first come/first served basis, it shouldn't become fastest finger first. Ideally, there will be a 'sticky' booking system, where everyone uses the same 1x, 2x, 4+ etc. if it is available. That way it's easier to arrange outings with likely users of the boat.
8
If a boat is damaged and needs repair, please inform captain ASAP. Fill in Boat Damage book and Incident Report.
9
The average crew weight box is approximate +/- 10kg and some boats may take in excess of that. Please try to save heavier boats for heavier crews and lighter boats for lighter crews.
10
Any boat booking which has not been claimed by 10 minutes after the booked time (under normal circumstances) will be open to use by other members.
11
Any issues, talk to the captain.
12
'speak to captain first' means you MUST get captains permission before boating. Booking form MUST be updated prior to boating.
13
Please don't change rigging, pitch/span etc without asking the captain. Changes MUST be returned (unless previously agreed with Captain) when returning the boat.
14
15
At all other times, there is currently no booking in force, but the guidelines on availability and rig still hold. Please try to book at least 24h in advance, whenever possible.
